The Ship In Dock Inn is a great little B & B with a small bar which seems to be popular with locals, and is located very close to the river and also within easy walking distance from the town centre. It's also a great base for exploring the Dartmoor national park. I found the owners are exceptionally friendly and...

Just got back from staying here for two nights and had a lovely time! The room (number three) had a lovely view that was great to wake up to, and the bed was so comfortable I never wanted to get out of it! I let them know ahead of time about vegan dietary requirements and they were happy to accommodate,...

Hi Thanks for the positive comments, and really sorry that your room wasn't serviced (its supposed to be), so will be looking into that. If you were staying in room 4 we did have a problem as lost the spare key. I really do wish we could charge less but the rate does include VAT and once you take off...

We arrived cold and wet, having been caught in heavy rain, and left warm and revived. We enjoyed a large and tasty tapas, which was most excellent in a very friendly atmosphere where people are inclusive. Beer is excellent and there is a good selection. Arrrgh! For excellent food and drink look no further! Pirates are welcome!

The Ship in Dock always welcomes you with open arms, a friendly ear and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy the company of the locals and delicious food, especially the tapas. Great selection of gin (my favourite tipple) and how it should be served and lager glasses always kept in the chiller to guarantee a cool pint...well run by lovely Kev and...

We had a lovely stay here. The quaint old inn was superbly located on the harbour front near the naval college and had free parking out of season. The room was comfortable and clean. I was worried about there being dog hair in the room as i'm allergic but this wasnt the case although you will need an antihystamine for...

Spent 3 nights in this great B&B in March '17. Kevin and Michelle are wonderful hosts and provide their guests with a great service and great (inexpensive) food. The rooms are modern, immaculately clean and comfortable. The hotel is located 30-40 yards from the river so I had a spectacular view from my bedroom. An excellent full English breakfast is...

It used to be pizzas and steak but now that Michelle has taken over the kitchen there is a range of tapas, pies and speciality breakfasts. All are homemade - I'm usually really sceptical about places claiming this but it's true, right down to the pie pastry! We tried the patatas bravas, salt 'n' pepper squid, and beef and ale...

The most wonderful little pub, the most amazing homemade pies ever and apparently they're doing tapas now as well so we will be back for that!! Loved it. It's positioned just up from the river front, so after a stroll it's in the prime location for a few drinks.

Hi Lottie Really glad you enjoyed Michelle's home made pies - the tapas is going down a storm. Lots of new stuff planned for the menu, and as it will be constantly changing there will always be something to surprise you. See you soon. Kev & Michelle

The Ship in Dock Inn is all ship shape and ready for 2017. We have been busy through the winter, decorating internally and externally, with new carpet in the bed & breakfast and several touches in the bedroom that we think finish off our rooms perfectly.
