Lovely hotel at the bottom of Clovelly village on the harbour. Lovely views from the restaurant. Breakfast is good, and staff helpful. The room we had was modern well equipped in the sail loft. The views were excellent and you could here the sound of the waves.

Have stayed here on two occasions and it never fails to disappoint it quaint and the room we had this year was amazing. We were given the room with the balcony looking out to the harbour and sea. The room itself was a good size and great ensuite, immaculate and everything we need. The location is right on the working...

Steeped in history, it really is like stepping back in time. The rooms are great, overlooking the harbour and bay. Breakfasts are excellent and the staff are lovely. Its well worth going out to catch some fish too and near to shore Remo can take you. If you do go, keep an eye along the shore to discover something special.

The BIG draw for the Red Lion Hotel is it’s location. In Clovelly village directly on the harbour, this cannot be beaten in the area. The building is original, and as such has some quirky features you would expect, each room is a different shape and size, if this bothers you there is a Travelodge in Exeter! We recently held...

We visited Clovelly for an evening away and stayed at The Red Lion. Our room was gorgeous with a great view of the sea and harbour. We had a lovely meal in the bar of fresh mackerel and crab, which was all incredibly tasty. We also enjoyed the local beers. The staff at the hotel were brilliant. Very attentive and...

We arrived and went to check in. The girl on reception wasn’t the most welcoming and seemed a little disorganised, but we all have off days so we let it go. We went up to our room, which was a little small but adequate for our two night stay. However, the toilet pan in the en-suite was splattered in faeces!...

Regrettably this is not a particularly constructive review. I am surprised that you didn't contact us and discuss your issues as you were clearly not happy with any part of the hotel. You are absolutely correct in that one of the housekeeping staff did forget you clean the loo and she is mortified that she made this error. I know...

We grabbed a single nights stay at The Red Lion Hotel and had a very enjoyable stay. Overlooking the harbour we had room 5 which has a fabulous view of the harbour and out to sea from the private balcony. The hotel is very clean and lovely, a little dated, but then that's the charm of Clovelly as a whole....

Couldn't agree more with this review. We have been waiting for BT to sort out the broadband since April this year. We have been assured we will have fibre optics down here within the next month and I can assure you we are doing everything we can to make this happen. Quite apart from our guests needs we also rely...

Without a doubt this is a magic location- in the heart of Clovelly and awesome sea views. Unlike the punters who have to negotiate the steep cobbled streets you get to take the service road to the quay and park your car. The hotel itself is a bit of a rabbit warren but utterly charming - something of a 'guest...

Thanks for the review. I'm sorry you found the food not to your liking, and i'm also sorry that the breakfast wasn't as good as it should have been. There is no excuse for over cooked haddock, its a shame you didn't sent it back as we would have been more than happy to have re-cooked it for you. The...

This hotel is a lovely find. We found on the internet that they hold a lobster festival on 06 Sept so we booked a two night stay. From the moment we went to reception all the staff were friendly and attentive. We were in room 5 which was excellent, with the added bonus of a balcony where you can sit...

Great value for money! Beautiful rooms with amazing views. We arrived late in the evening and we had no idea where we were and how it was going to be. The next morning we woke up just at sunrise...
