As we approached Tintagel, the hotel was visible in the distance and it had the wow factor! This didn't change when we entered the hotel and viewed the grand entrance hall and staircase. We had booked for the 3 night special deal, and had managed to upgrade to a sea view room number 102. First impressions of the room were...

I will agree that the castle has beautiful views and could be an incredible setting but this is the only redeeming feature. On arrival you are forced to sign a waiver saying you will pay £100 if you smoke. The art work covering the grand staircase on the way the the bedroom was really not to my taste. Huge pink...

An amazing building in a wonderful position directly overlooking King Arthurs Castle earthworks at Tintagel Cornwall. They were filming scenes for Cornish GP series "Doc Martin" when we arrived so we were taken up the scruffy back staircase. It was only later that we were able to appreciate the ambience of the main rooms with their original fireplaces and doors...

My goodness you can't get anywhere more impressive to stay. Reviews on here just don't do it justice. The view from our room was breathtaking. The lady at reception was lovely and so helpful, giving us a guided tour showed how much she loved the place. Room was very comfortable and shower and toilet pod was amazingly clean and perfectly...

This is the most over rated, over hyped, over expensive and sub standard hotel I have ever visited. Decoration is tired and grubby, furniture cheap and old, carpets threadbare, heating system unreliable as is the lift and the rooms not fit for purpose. Food is extremely ordinary and the hotel grounds unkempt. Questionable "art" adorns the walls and equally questionable...

This is a wonderful hotel commanding a beautiful position on the north coast of Cornwall. A short walk from other pubs and restaurants The staff were excellent, attentive, polite and eager to ensure our stay was special. The artist / co owner was also always present to ensure that everything that was required / expected happened. He also uses the...

We stayed here for our anniversary in october, I cannot fault the views from our room, overlooking the sea and Tintagel castle, stunning. The welcome was warm but weird conversation with the repeated line "are you friends of ted" throughout our stay. Staff were very attentive but the invites to the light room became tedious by the second day!! Must...

This place was very nice, but gave me the creeps. As if the butterfly paintings, omni-present owner, and crop circles weren't enough, they have their own hotel newspaper and poetry written by the owner himself. It felt like the owner needed something to feed his ego, so he bought a hotel and dedicated it to himself. I have no idea...

The location of this hotel is its only saving grace and it's a pity that the beautiful spot is occupied by such a tatty, tasteless, peculiar little modes operandi. They do lovely Irish coffee in the bar once you manage to find someone and persuade them to let you spend your money on it! I think the owners suffer from...
