From the first contact with John Lewis I was impressed that he was so responsive to answering my questions in regard to my future stay. As it was my first visit to Tintagel, and it was coming towards the end of my planned itinerary I wanted to be sure it would suit. It was all we needed and more. The...

Yet again John has been our perfect host! Our fourth visit was all we expected. The accommodation, bed, food and comfort were excellent (how could we expect less?) If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet, cosy, old English environment in which to relax and feel very welcome, and a knowledgeable and often very funny, delightful host, go to Lewis's...

The real king is John! He and his Lewis's House from 1560 are great. The rooms are small, but very cosy and lovely. All rooms with own bath. And the inside of the house is from another century. So you get in the best mood to visit Tintagel castle!!! Thanks John for this perfect accomodation!

We had the turret room. Very spacious with 4 poster bed and settee. Small en-suite but absolutely sufficient and spotlessly clean. Wide choice of hot & cold breakfast - all well presented and excellently cooked. John was a most attentive and informative host who clearly loves making your stay special. On site parking an added bonus. Close by the King...

If you're looking for that cosy, warm home-stay feel, this is a wonderful place that epitomises the whole B&B experience. John is the loveliest host; and he cooks up a mean Cornish breakfast! Thick-cut bacon and sausages from a local butcher, fried eggs that strangely tasted better than typical, mushrooms, tomato, potatoes... Cereals, yogurt, fruit and toast... It's enough to...

What a wonderful place to stay! John's attention to detail & level of service was appreciate from the very first email, through our stay, and even after we had left. The room was wonderful, the breakfast was so good and the service was impeccable. Thank you, John!

John was a great host and went out of his way to be helpful. We were the only guests in the B&B, but he made the full breakfast the next morning just for us. He gave us great ideas on places to hike, and his rooms were decorated very nicely. It was very clean. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Having last been to John's this August, myself and my daughter decided we needed to go back to John's, not only for a fantastic change of scenery (we love Cornwall!), but for the amazing hospitality and John's lovely and welcoming personality, nothing is ever too much trouble. His breakfasts are out of this world! All local produce, very tasty and...

We first stayed here last year when visiting Tintagel and Boscastle for Halloween and were pleasantly surprised. John can't do enough for you, he really is a tremendous host and cook; literally nothing is too much trouble and we've just returned for a second wonderful stay. We brought friends along this time and they were as happy as us, bagging...
