Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Jayne is the most wonderful host and nothing is ever too much trouble. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a seaside theme and are well ventilated for the warmer weather. Breakfast is served in another room with lovely views and her partner made a delicious cooked breakfast. We also had fresh fruit, cereals etc. Jayne even pressed a shirt for me. Hospitality at it’s very best.

This place is very good value for money a warm welcome awaits, almost as amazing as the view from the breakfast area. The room is wonderful , with a bathroom which is bigger than most. Breakfast of fruit etc as well as a wonderful full english was freshly cooked by Jayne. A great base for exploring Cornwall, this is a little treasure, and we will be back.

Let me start by saying that we travel extensively and that in totality, this is the best B&B we have stayed in. Others may have an edge here or there, but overall this is number one. Jayne and Lou are exceptional hosts. The rooms are spotless, the views gorgeous and the breakfasts amazing. But it is the feeling of being made family friends and the sadness on leaving that rounds out the experience. We stayed 5 nights and used St Mawes as a base to explore Cornwall from Lands End to the north coast as well as local sights and sites of which there are many. It was a long way from Australia..but worth the effort.

We arrived in the b&b after a terrible day of rain. The best thing, after a night of sleep, has been to see the amazing view on the harbor while we were having a really good breakfast. The house is very cozy, with a lot of interesting marine style objects. The host is very nice and keen to make the best for us, very attentive and caring. Well done!

This place is such good value for money, you just can't go wrong. Room was all that we needed, bed comfortable, area very peaceful and you can sit in the front garden and soak up the sun and the view. If you are planning a vista to st mawes then you need to stay here rather than pay a fortune for other establishments that offer a bed for the night. Will be back again next year at some point.

Very comfortable, with a great welcome from Jayne. There were wonderful views across the river Fal from our room and a comfortable bed that sorted out my backache from a delayed trip down from London. We were made welcome and given a great breakfast. The house is convenient for St Mawes and the ferries for the coastal footpath. Thanks Jayne, we certainly highly recommend staying with you.

This delightful B and B was recommended by local friends and we are so glad that we decided on our one night stay. It is a simple two room cottage but has all the amenities you will need. The very comfortable accommodation is set in such a tranquil spot and one of the rooms has a particularly good view over the water. The breakfast is delicious and the lovely Jayne provides a most warm and friendly welcome. Parking in general in this popular resort comes at a premium but you can park outside the guest house. As B and B accommodation, this is the best in the west.
