Great food, comfy bed and perfect location however..... room could of been cleaner and we was locked in overnight so couldn't get back out to the car. (without going through the fire exit!) The room was above the bar/kitchen so noisy until late. Overall a nice stay but only for a night.

We booked to eat on Monday night " steak night " at the Victory Inn. Our meal was good quality and good value. Service was efficient and the staff were charming. Booking is essential as it was pretty busy.

Went here on Friday night to have fish & chips. Meal was excellent value 2 meals for £12. Staff couldn't do enough for us - would definitely go back. Special offers on most nights and a bottle of wine was very reasonable.

We had the only two rooms at this Inn, which were clean and reasonably comfortable, but without much style. The rooms are upstairs at pub and right next to their dining room, so front bedroom very noisy with patrons at outside table right under window. This was not a cheap place, so we were a bit disappointed. Restaurant here is...

We ate at the Victory recenty - nice cosy pub and the food was tasty. However, I was very disappointed with the customer service. I asked for a side salad to accompany my fish cakes once my meal had arrived and I could see that the accompanying salad was small. I was told that there was a "system" and they...

Good food at at a reasonable price and the fish is lovely. Upstairs is ok but eating downstairs is full of character .,,, you probably need to book in the season sometimes to be safe but they are cheerful and try to fit you in

Stayed at the Victory Inn as attending a family wedding in St Mawes over the weekend and took both rooms. Great staff who tried their utmost to make our visit memorable, which they did - full marks to Andy who was brilliant. Right in the middle of town so perfect for getting everywhere, great atmosphere and very friendly. Bedrooms are...

Hi Rankinfoodie here. I like pubs. The Victory is in a small lane just off the harbour. Small inside. Nice atmosphere. Restaurant downstairs and upstairs with a balcony. Good homemade food. We had mussels, cod and chips, and sole. Good beer, Doom Bar, a favorite. Good value.

We have just returned from a week at St Mawes and the Victory is a great Pub. Staff really, really friendly and most important dogs are welcomed. We ate here every day as we did on our holiday last year. Best fish and chips you can find. Fish & Chip night-Friday is great value @ 2 for £12. Thank you...

We visited the pub for a meal, after being recommended by friends. It was nothing more than average. Nothing special and at over £4 for a bottle of water it was a little pricey for what we drank and ate. The pub was not business, the main course came swiftly but then the service went down hill, we waited too...

“We only visited the Victory Inn as part of a day trip. Interesting that they call themselves one of two pubs in St Mawes, but there are Tripadvisor hotel questions? I can't comment on accommodation. My service level rating relates to our lunch experience. I'd go back, and would recommend.”
