Me and my boyfriend have just returned from a short break at the garrack, and what a lovely hotel it is! We got really good value, a double room with a sea view on a weekend for only £60! The pool, jacuzzi area and sauna is small but still lovely and open 8-8 so there's definitely time to fit a...

We have recently returned from a short break at the Garrack. We booked the suite which was fabulous. It's very nicely appointed, extremely clean and has fantastic views across Porthmeor Beach to the Island. Both breakfast and dinner in the Hotel were fantastic and the staff were very amenable. We would definitely stay again.

We went to watch a friend child doing his swimming lesson and were told we'd be able to eat while we watched But it was packed, it's only small and as expected lots of parents. The man behind the bar asked if he could help us, when I told him we wanted to eat but there's no tables he just...

I have spoken to the staff member who was on duty at the time you mention. It is a pity you did not phone us to reserve a table if you wanted a meal, as parents do tend to spread themselves around the room, occupying the existing tables. Having said that, it should have been possible to source another table...

Celebrated our 1st anniversary at this lovely , friendly dog friendly hotel and will definitely be returning . We stayed in room 17 , which had fabulous sea views and restful decoration in grey and aqua plus an extremely comfy , super large bed . Delicious home made cookies and a bottle of Cornish mead were laid out for our...

We've stayed here before and enjoyed it so much that we came back! We brought our two dogs because this hotel is very dog friendly. The hotel is situated on a small headland and has stunning views. The hotel is comfortable rather than chic and has a friendly, welcoming feel to it. Our only slight disappointment was that the food,...

I moved from st Ives 12 months ago and this was a weekend visit family, we were upgraded to a sea view room, the views were incredible and everything I love about st Ives. We stayed on a room only basis which I can't fault. The hotel was impeccably clean and friendly. The little extras in the room of water,...

Stayed here with my boyfriend for a little break. It was tipping it down, but such a lovely hotel. Nice sauna and pool area. Short walk into town(15mins) nice going down, harder going back up though, so if you have walking difficulties, I'd drive down. Pool is open for the public for swimming lessons at some points but if you...

Thank you for your review of The Garrack. I am pleased that you both enjoyed your stay with us and would stay again. I am sorry you were disturbed in the morning but you do not say what caused the noise, whether it was staff or fellow guests. The pool is open and staffed from 08.00 till 20.00 at this...

Used to stay in the Garrack many moons ago and was interested to see how the hotel has evolved. It was great. The whole complex has been overhauled to a very high standard. We stayed in the suite (room 4) which has spectacular views (as mentioned earlier) from the bathroom especially. Doesn't get much better than watching the nightfall over...

Thank you for your review of The Garrack. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay in the suite and that your chats with the receptionist were useful. We try to give a personal service which can not really be done through on-line travel agents. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

We have just checked out of this wonderful hotel and i am so sad that we haven't got another couple of nights stay! The Garrack was perfect for myself, husband and doggy Eric. From the moment we arrived the staff were wonderful and Eric has been spoiled with lots of fuss and cuddles! We stayed in the cottage which was...

Thank you for reviewing your stay at The Garrack. It is always interesting to learn the views of returning customers who will have memories of the hotel under the previous ownership. We are keen to improve the hotel without losing it's character and reputation for good food and hospitality. I am glad you all enjoyed your stay and hope you...

A lovely spot up above St. Ives -- an easy 10-15 minute walk down into town, but a harder slog uphill back to the hotel (consider a taxi or bus unless you are not footsore!). Hotel, for such a nice place, unusually sits right above a mobile home/trailer park which adds an unsightly eyesore to your view of St. Ives...
