Spent 3 nights in room 7 - up top. Well worth the climb. Ate in on one occasion and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Breakfast cooked to order and delicious. The hotel is well placed in the centre of town and very welcoming.

Our room was very small but nice enough for people that weren't spending much time in it. Location is really handy, allowing us to pop in and out when the spring weather can't make up it's mind what it wanted to do. Staff were fine, and the Saturday night live night in the pub below didn't go on late (wasn't...

Went here for a few nights with a group of friends and would not go again. Hotel fors: good location, very helpful and friendly staff, good choice and quality food. Hotel againsts: narrow dark staircase to upper floors (no lift), poor lounge area for hotel residents, small rooms, décor tired and in need of refurbishment and no car park. I...

The Queens Hotel was lovely but just missed on the touches that would have made it special - bed comfortable, breakfast good, great location, friendly staff but just no wow factors. We were in a front room which was noisy on a Saturday night but we weren't surprised. And parking was a challenge but just part of being in St...

We will certainly be visiting again. The staff were friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The bar was clean & welcoming. The food was both delicious and reasonably priced. The wines were delicious and they also have a fantastic selection of Gin :)

Booked a superior double room for one night expecting 'superior' to be above average.......not as I thought. The room was of decent size and bedding and towels all clean but there was quite a few downfalls. The radiator was thick with dust which was visible through the grid on top, the plug socket was not properly attached to the wall,...

We stayed on the top floor and the room was clean, quiet and well furnished with a view over the town to the sea. The breakfast was first class and dinner was reasonably priced and delicious with a good choice of dishes on offer. The overall service was excellent. We came down to St Ives by train and the hotel...

Just managed to get in at the end of lunchtime serving (1430) and were served a delicious pub lunch for six (12, 9, 5 & 2 yr old). Prices average pub prices but food was great. Highly recommended would come back again.

Small hotel situated in the centre of St Ives within a couple of minutes walk of the harbor. Lovely cooked and continental breakfast was included in the price and a great pub style lunch / dinner menu. For great views, ask for a room on the top 2 floors!!

Thank Colin A

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Queen's Hotel is a late-Georgian, three-story building in the heart of picturesque St Ives. 5 mins from the harbour and beaches, we have ten en-suite bedrooms, which have been redecorated with vintage furniture and Cornish artwork hanging on the freshly painted white walls, plus sparkling new bathrooms with new showers. Downstairs is a relaxed and friendly bar with delicious pub food that was awarded an AA rosette in 2011. Everything is prepared on the premises - the menu is chalked up on the board daily using the finest local, seasonal ingredients Cornwall has to offer. Bread baked daily. Homemade ice-cream. Local beers. Warming fire. Children are very welcome: upstairs a camp bed and a travel cot are available to borrow, all windows have black-out blinds; downstairs there are boardgames + toys in the light and airy bar, baby-changing, and children's portions available. The harbour front and Fore Street are under five minutes walk away. Selected by Alastair Sawdays. ... more   less
