I suspect that the varied reviews for The Gallery have something to do with who's on duty when you arrive. In our case it was not Martyn, the owner (never saw or heard him), it was his assistant Oliver. Oliver had our bags upstairs in our room before we rolled in on our bikes. Oliver allowed us to leave our...

We only spent 1 night in the wonderful "Gallery B&B" and although it wasn't long enough, it was perfect for the short visit to Port Wenn. We were greeted by a welcoming receptionist who showed us to our room on the top floor with a view looking straight across the harbour to Doc Martin's surgery. Our room was clean and...

Breathing views, immaculate rooms, exemplary hospitality: the stress of modern life melted away in moments. What could be better than waking to the sound of waves, the smell of the salty air and the view of this picture postcard jewel of a town? This delightful bed and breakfast is within walking distance from the shore, the shops and an array...

Secret garden at the back. Sun shines there all day. We stayed in the en-suite and found it to be more than acceptable. Nice small clean room. Some may think it's expensive but for the area it's OK. Owner really nice and you didn;t notice they were there. If you want top luxury go elsewhere but if you want nice...

We stayed in The Gallery B&B for two nights in May, this review is long overdue, especially when looking at some of the previous comments. The purpose of the visit was a surprise 50th birthday celebration courtesy of my friends son. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner from the moment we arrived and stayed in one...

Well positioned location, over priced and poor service Had to ask for hand towels. No breakfast on the first morning as the owner was out the night before came home 'worse for wear' making lots of noise waking us up and then had a very loud discussion in the small hours, heard through paperthin walls He refunded £20 from a...

I had a friendly welcome & the room was top floor with great views of the harbour. The bathroom was shared. Breakfast is brought to your room. It is definitely overpriced. I had stayed at Tintagel the night previously & had paid only £25 for what I consider to have been better accommodation. I can only give 2 stars because...

Bedroom we stayed in was above the small gallery. Massive bed. Bathroom tiny, dark, cold and has shower with no screen due to size Magnificent view over the harbour. Perfect situation for pubs restaurants ships etc. Continental breakfast brought to room. A good stay.

We could not have been happier with our choice to stay here. We had a 2nd floor room (aka above the ground floor gallery, but not the top floor) with an absolutely unbeatable view of the harbor. The room was perfect for us - comfy and clean with a cottagey, homey, bohemian vibe. There was an en suite bathroom and...
