This is the building which doubles as the school in Doc Martin, which is quite appropriate as it used to be a school! Very nice old building with lots of character, situated on the side of one of the VERY steep hills in Port Isaac. Friendly service if you decide to pop in for lunch, drinks, snacks etc. Reasonable prices...

We were warmly welcomed by manager Sam. Throughout our stay she made every effort to make our experience of the Old School Hotel one that we will always remember. Our room, the mathematics room, was large, bright and airy with a hidden gem of a separate childs bedroom that would accommodate 2 children - very quirky and charming. The food...

We spent 2 nights here and enjoyed our stay. The location is lovely, particularly for Doc Martin fans, and is great as a base to explore the amazing Cornish coastline. We felt the hotel was a little over priced at £100 a night. The rooms are 'themed' as school rooms, and we stayed in the Music room, but this consisted...

Stayed here as a final 1 night tacked on to end of a nice 7 night stay in a great self catering apartment at Beachside, Rock, mainly to avoid need for taxi for dining at Restaurant Nathan Outlaw in Port Isaac. After reading other reviews I wasn't expecting things to be too much like a "boutique" hotel, and so it...

We stayed at the old School House in the Latin room for three nights. The views from the room were spectacular. The room was clean and spacious, the bed comfortable and it was also quiet. There was free Wi-fi The breakfast was very nice and in spite of checking out all the eating establishments in town, we choose to eat...

I stayed for two nights with my family in September 2015. I was absolutely blown away by the unprecedented views of the bay, spectacular food (catch of the day, lamb chops, fish & chips, amongst other fabulous dishes), wonderfully friendly staff (special mention has to go to Rachel who is quite possibly the nicest person I have every met), and...

Port Isaac is a gorgeous and largely unspoilt fishing village made famous by the TV programme Doc Martin being filmed there. The Old School hotel overlooks the very pretty harbour. The charm of the school has not been lost and you feel like you are stepping back in time as you go through the front door. Our room was beautifully...

We decided to travel to Port Isaac as it the town where Doc Martin show is set and to our amazement they were filming on the day after we arrived. So naturally we went along to view the filming. The Doc Martin Clunes is a real nice bloke before he went into his act mode. He talked with bystanders greeted...

Keen fans of the Doc Martin television show, we had to stay here -- and we are so glad we did. First of all, the Geography room looks directly out onto the port and toward Doc Martin's house! Every time I looked out the window I was thrilled we were staying there! The room was comfortable and provided everything we...
