We were staying at Looe and walked to Polperro. I had been recommended this hotel for cream teas. They were huge scones, and lots of jam and cream. Really 1 between 2 people is enough. The cost is very good value did not stay there

Thank you so much for your "Cream Tea" review. We are very pleased to read that you enjoyed them and also that you visited us by way of recommendation. It is a beautiful walk between Looe and Polperro and we try to ensure that those that partake in a cream tea refreshment find them equally enjoyable. The walk in the other...

We stayed for one night only with my husband, but we would definitely go back. We liked the private parking (without it you would struggle on the narrow roads) and safety cameras. Staff is very friendly, rooms are nice and clean, excellent breakfast. It`s a good location too. I put only 4/5 for sleep quality, as you expect the sea...

We are very pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay with us and thank you for highlighting the facilities that you considered beneficial to your stay. Yes, "OUR" Seagulls can be a little noisy at times but we do have Seagull friendly guards fitted to restrict the number that can actually land on our hotel but still their calls,...

We thank you so much for your excellent review. It was really a pleasure to see you again and we are equally pleased that you are now a "regular" guest staying at our hotel. I must also thank you, not only for your very kind words but also for the delicious ice cream you brought us, I am afraid to...

Have stayed here on 3 occasions (it was great each time), once with my brother and sister-in-law in 2006, then with them and my Mum in 2007 and later with my husband, thought after my brother died I would never go back - to many memories, but life moves on and now I want to go back, big brother would...

We are so sorry to read about your loss and no doubt you miss your brother very much. However you are very brave in coming to terms with this very sad happening and as you say life must go on but it is often much easier said than done. Once you have made that decision, living without your brother will...

We were staying at a delightful B & B down the road. We had eaten and were looking for somewhere nice to have a drink. We'd tried a few pubs; one had live music so there was no room to sit, one had no atmosphere and one had a private party going on. We found ourselves outside the Claremont and...

What a strange review. We are sorry that your very brief visit to our hotel was not to your liking. First of all how did you get in? The hotel door is always locked if we are not at reception, this is for security reasons, all our guests are given their own key for entry. How do you know that...

Can't fault the hotel or its location within the village, made extra special by the lovely and cheerful Carina who can't do enough to help. Hotels everywhere, please take note. This is how service should be!

Thank you so much for your excellent review, your very kind words made an ordinary day into a special one. We really do try very hard to give the service that we would expect when we will be lucky enough to be able to take some time off together. We have chosen this career and do not expect to be...

We have just returned from a week at this hotel. It was our fourth time and always lives up to expectations. Carina gave us the usual very warm welcome and she can't do enough to help her guests enjoy their stay. She is always bright and happy and so helpful. It was really special to see you again and to read your very positive review. You are one of our many regulars and it really brightens up our day when guests book again and we then have your familiar faces to look forward to seeing, it really is one of the joys in this business when at times it is...

If you like tired old hotels, plastic mattress covers, shampoo in sachet's, one soap between shower and basin, order what you want for breakfast the evening before (or get a low quality full english regardless) and pay for additional breakfast items as stated on menu card in room, no breakfast orders taken in the morning!!! Then you'll like it here,...

We are not surprised by your review, your first review was written after not even spending one night (removed by Tripadvisor as being inappropriate) and while still staying at our hotel. Most sensible people at least wait until their stay is complete before putting pen to paper in order to get a full and balanced opinion and not act immediately...

Came in for cream tea in the restaurant, and a hot chocolate for my sister, the woman at reception was lovely and welcoming. The drinks were great, even came with free biscuits :3 adorable.
