We returned to the Claremont for a weekend at the end of July, having last visited in 2012. Along with previous visitors, we were concerned that the previous management had left and that the hotel now operated a "bed on a budget" policy. We need not have worried. The level of cleanliness is the same if not better than before...

The hotel is right in the centre of Polperro with a free car park which is definitely worth having and very easy to access. We liked the no breakfast policy as we don't need a cooked breakfast each morning and it was easy to prepare your own food in the room. If you did want a cooked meal there are...

Stayed 3 nights this week and had an enjoyable time. The hotel is in the centre of the village with parking opposite which was a big plus. A verandah to sit on during the day or night which again was a plus. The hotel has a no breakfast policy which suited us as their was the Bucaneer just down the...

We had been driving for about 4 hours from Bournemouth, wanting to "go west"as although Bournemouth is wonderful for beaches, fancied a change of scenery, stopped at Looe,as have many fond memories there, all hotels were full,so decided to go to the nearest village, and now are glad we did!!Just popped in and asked if they had space, luckily they did,a lovely room,be it dated, spotlessly clean,for...

My wife and I stayed there as part of our honeymoon in the UK. From the moment we arrived it surpassed all of our expectations. The proprietors, Bill and Wancha are very warm, friendly, caring and extremely helpful people. Furthermore, they maintain an extremely high standard of cleanliness and thoughtfulness in everything you find there. We will most certainly be...

I've just read some reviews regarding this hotel and most are excellent. However, you may read some people saying that it is dated, it is...........but in a very nice way. It is clean our bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was very hot and powerful. Breakfast is not included and this is reflected in the price but there are several...

The Claremont Hotel is now room only accommodation, we found this gave more flexibility in our requirements, for example, you choose when to eat, where to eat, when to get up etc. Very friendly and interesting hosts, well organised and understanding, car parking superb for Polperro. Bye the way, the tariffs are great too!

We have stayed at this hotel quite a few times over the last 4 years and we love the quirky pine clad Crows Nest room! I have been told it's like marmite, we love it, other people prefer a different room due to the sloping roof. My husband is 5ft 12 and has to duck here and there but I...

This is a really handy place to stay if visiting the town especially with ample parking, rare in Polperro. Bill and Wancha are very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble room only rate and that is reflected in the rice of the room

Pleasant hotel with all necessary facilities and very friendly owners. Our room was comfortable; a bijou bathroom, but who needs more? Car parking across the road a real bonus as space is very limited in Polperro. Breakfast was easily available in various places in town, a very short walk from the hotel. Our room was up on the second floor,...
