Stayed here whilst doing the South Coast Footpath. Just a short walk from the harbour with very friendly staff and excellent breakfast where all the compote and jams are homemade. A proper poached egg with the cooked breakfast for my friend and I had smoked salmon and perfect scrambled eggs. Thank you I'll be back with my hubby and little...

Having not been to Polperro before didn't know quite what to expect. Penryn House was exactly what we wanted. We arrived early and fortunately Chris was home and he gladly checked us in and organised our car parking. The beauty of Penryn is that you can Park on the residence and not in the car park at the top of...

Due to unforeseen circumstances we were unable to arrive into the village until around 8pm. We were delighted to find that this was not a problem. The accommodation was spotless, hosts very welcoming and the location ideal for a 3 minute stroll down to the harbour. Breakfast was far from basic with excellent choice and thoroughly enjoyed. Car parking was...

Comfortable, tidy room. Good value, friendly, welcoming hosts who recommended that we eat at the blue peter- a pub by the harbour, which served excellent food and had live music. This B&B is in a perfect location for visiting polperro- just a 2 minute walk to the harbour. It also has safe, off-road parking which was a massive plus for...

Lovely couple running this Hotel. Nice room a little too small for me, but adequate for the time we spent in it. Breakfast was very good plus a good cold buffet. Would stay again. Not too far to walk into Polperro where there are pubs and restaurants. We like The Nelson the staff are lovely and the food excellent.

Penryn House Hotel is on the main street of Polperro, which is pretty quiet, right opposite a gorgeous art gallery. There is parking at the front which is a tad challenging, but as long as the turning space is kept free it is easily manageable. The hotel is very comfortable with a small bar and a lounge area. Our room...

For such a tourist trap of a town, we were expecting something very basic for our money. This was a cut above very basic. The breakfast was good and the room clean if very small. The staff were obsessed with the car park. I understand the need to regulate parking in such a small area, but it was not handled...

Thank you for your complimentary review - it is great that we exceeded your expectations with regards to our rooms and breakfast. Your comments about the car park are strange though . "The staff" being the owners, are "obsessed" that all our guests get a parking space in our "advertised car park" - which is why we explain quite carefully...

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is very well run by the friendly Anna and the place is cosy, ideal for a few days away from the fast pace of life. We loved the breakfasts, really well prepared and clearly made with good local ingredients. There is a nice lounge and bar here too, which is very welcome...
