I was on a biking holiday, ending in Cornwall. The hostel is convenient to EVERYTHING. The kitchen was great, in fact a lot of people were in there in the evening preparing meals and sharing dishes. There is a hangout room with a TV and table by the window for writing and using WiFi. The night I was there people...

Not in the centre but not too far either, about 15 minutes away. Always clean, especially the bathrooms and kitchen which was great. Not too many rules, which could have been overwhelming otherwise. Neatly arranged kitchen. Just a pity there was no access to washing machines. Good prices.

Penzance Backpackers is a hostel, geared towards those on a budget who just need somewhere to rest their heads for a night...which we certainly did, having just completed our trek around the Cornish Coast from St. Ives to Mousehole...we were supposed to get as far as Penzance, but the remaining 3 miles was just along the road...so we cheated and...

A gem of a hostel. I stayed at the YMCA in October and saw this in a nearby street. So glad I did. It's excellent value for money, the owners (managers?) are a young friendly couple (about to become three!) who gave me a warm welcome. The house is very clean and comfortable. I stayed in the 'seven bed females...

This hostel is in a quiet residential area within 15/20 walk of the town and the railway and bus stations (depending on the route you take). It is an independent hotel which offers excellent value for money. It is run (owned?) by a lovely young friendly couple and a warm welcome awaits you. I stayed in the seven bed en-suite...

The Blue Dolphin enabled us to catch an early sailing and late return of the 'Scillonian' ship prior to and after our break in the Isles of Scilly. It is within walking distance of the railway station and the Scillonian quay. There were other mature couples using the 'hostel' for the same reason. It is adjacent to bed & breakfast...

I came here for a break last month (February),and stayed at this hostel.I booked the double room which was really nice, clean and warm. One slight criticism is there was no double wardrobe or bedside draws for clothes. Not so bad just me on my own,but it could cause problems for a couple. The whole hostel was really clean, the owners were very friendly, including the...

From the moment I met the staff they were nothing but helpful, doing everything to make me feel right at home in Penzance. The amenities at the Blue Dolphin are outstanding with a full kitchen, lounge room packed with movies, board games and even a guitar. The room was exceptionally clean for a hostel, the bed comfy and the shower...

I was always afraid of staying in the hostels not because of safety point of view but because of whether the place will be clean enough, will it be hygienic enough and other concerns and that's the reason why I have never tried staying in hostels. When I was planning to visit Isle of Scilly and Penzance for the long...

No frills but a comfortable, clean hostel. Decent location and friendly owners. We stayed in a double room that had everything we needed. The decoration is basic and a bit threadbare in parts but the place is clean, comfortable, has everything you need in a hostel and was good value for money. The location is great too. Would recommend.
