I have stayed at the Beachfield twice now, and on both occasions enjoyed a pleasant stay in calm surroundings. The first was an overnight stay with my youngest son, and the latest, again with my son, but also with my wife and our two dogs. The hotel is well equipped, has everything you would need for your stay, and supplies... More

We stayed here as a couple for 3 nights in late July. Check in was great, very happy, helpful lady. We had a second floor room with dual aspect so had views across to St Michaels mount and also out to sea. The room was large and very well equipped. Very clean throughout. The bathroom felt new and was also... More

We booked 2 rooms and got a twin for our boys and paid extra for the corner promenade view (room 2) which was lovely for ourselves. Our room was well worth it but the boys room was average. The breakfast was very good with a good selection and attentive staff. The only downside was that our room opened up onto... More

My sister and i, with my little puppy, were staying at a local guest house. We booked there as not many places welcome dogs and some were very expensive for just a weekend. But we were shocked by how uncomfortable we were at this guest house. So i reached out to the Beachfield at 3 am (as we could not... More

The staff were friendly and the breakfast very tasty, but if you're wanting a good night's sleep I suggest you look elsewhere. The room we stayed in was very noisy - the water systems woke us up constantly. The road unfortunately was very noisy too. The two key features I look for in a hotel is a good bed and... More

Beachfield is a classic English seaside hotel, but is surprisingly pleasant. Having failed to get a booking in a smart hotel in Mousetrap where friends were staying, I grabbed Beachfield in desperation, but it turned out well. The single room was small but fine (the bathroom was almost the same size!) but had all I needed. Funnily enough I was... More

I booked 2 single rooms for myself and companion. Rooms 15 and 19. The hotel has been refurbished but needs to be thoroughly cleaned regularly to maintain appearance. Both rooms were not vacuumed or dusted during our 10 nights stay. Beds were changed once and only hand towels changed. Room 15 is in a small narrow corridor and when other... More

My husband and I have just spent 4 days in cornwall staying at this lovely hotel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room was outstandingly clean with a fresh decor making it cosy yet still modern in style. The hotel facilities were spot on with a wonderful restaurant serving an outstanding breakfast with a large selection. A very... More

I stayed at the Beachfield a few weeks ago before sailing to the Isles of Scilly. The staff was so friendly and helpful and it made for a wonderful experience. The room was exactly what I needed at a reasonable price and the common areas were very cozy and nice. I had a delicious hot breakfast both mornings in the... More

We called in on speck and booked as 'walk-ins' over Easter on 9 and 10 April 2015. We had a very welcoming and friendly reception as we were offered our room. We chose room 10, the overriding factor being the super-king sized bed, as we'd just spent 5 days sleeping on sun loungers at relatives! The room and bathroom was... More

Located on the sea front in Penzance, Cornwall, the Beachfield Hotel offers breathtaking panoramic views of Mount's Bay, from The Lizard to Newlyn Harbour with St Michael's Mount glitteringly prominent at centre stage. A Victorian building dating from the 1860s and standing on grounds that were once fields and dunes where fishermen dried their nets, our hotel has long been a favourite for those who know Penzance well. Much of the interior has recently been modernised and refurbished to a high standard. ... more   less
