We were surprised on arrival on Saturday to be instructed by staff without any people skills. Having to pay on arrival without seeing the room first and instructed that breakfast was between 8.30 and 9.30. Feeling there was no flexibility. On seeing our room we can see why we were not shown it first, we could not move around both...

Had a couple of lovely fish meals whilst on a recent stay at the village. The pub is under new ownership and has been spruced up very well. It looks great! Staff and owners very friendly and chatty. Cant wait to go back. If you visit for Sunday lunch, do book- it gets very busy.

Hello Rebekka, Thank you for your review of your stay. Sorry it wasn't up to the standards that it should have been. One of the landlords was unwell at the time of your visit, which was the reason for being 'out of the loop' of your booking, which we do apologies for this inconvenience. We hope you may stay again...

Stayed here only one night but this is where you want to stay when visiting the UK. Very friendly staff, all local recipes and ingredients from small suppliers at the menu. Easy parking, beautiful small village. Value for money best I had in the UK. Well done!

We live fairly close to the King's Arms and had eaten there on a number of occasions in the last few years. We were aware that the pub had new tenants and had read some very encouraging reviews. For those reasons we booked a table for an evening meal. When we arrived, there was one diner in the bar and...

After struggling to find a place to have lunch we ended up at this lovely pub. We were just five minutes before finishing food but the young lady behind the bar said it was no problem. I had the largest chicken goujons I have ever seen, delicious and not all dried up. My husband ordered a homemade spicy beef burger...

Fantastic home cooked food with real home fried chips. You have to try the peppered burger with really tasty cheese and lovely bacon. Great service and friendly staff. A real hit and looking forward to trying their Sunday lunch!

Under new management the bars have had a much needed makeover and now look light, contemporary and welcoming without losing their old world charm. The evening meal was excellent, good quality pub food at very competitative prices. There was a really friendly atmosphere led by the staff and everyone seemed to be having a good time. We are very impressed with...

Friendly bunch, good pub food and they have gone out of there way to be helpful. Nice atmosphere, locals seem friendly the 2nd home owners probably the cliquey ones refered to elsewhere but they are ok.
