The phone call when we first booked was an indicator of their helpfulness when we got there. The food was good with enough choice, the room was clean and the size of the bed meant we both got a good sleep. The cinema was small but exquisitely formed ! The nearness to the rail station meant we could just carry...

This is a very old hotel so would not suit anyone unable to use stairs. It is comfortable and has easy access to Penzance. The outstanding feature of this hotel is its staff who really go the extra mile to make their guests feel welcome. The food is good, tasty and not expensive served with pride and enthusiasm to offer...

We stayed a total of 3 nights. Located next door to trains, buses and Scillonian. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially the manager. Rooms are decent with good facilities. Full breakfast is ok. We also had evening meals, a different special is available each evening which is excellent value. Not a lot of noise, inside or out. Good value.

Stayed here on a flying visit in June 2015 & despite having used the bar and restaurant on a number of occasions in the last 25 yrs this was my first stay there and upon leaving I wondered why I hadn't taken the plunge before! I arrived on the sleeper train in Penzance at 8am however I was able to...

We stopped by for breakfast. They did seem quite busy with hotel residents but a table was quickly cleared for us. Good choice of traditional breakfast items. We both ordered 'the full Cornish'. Service was prompt and polite and the breakfast was well cooked. Really good value, I would call there again.

A very convenient hotel in the centre of Penzance. Basic rooms & great breakfast with a good English pub atmosphere for dinner at night. Great service. Parking a bit of a problem but you can park in the Railway station. Central to town & the harbour. Good access to the centre of town

My second time staying at the Longboat as part of my commute between France and the Scilly Isles. The accommodation is adequate for the price. What makes this place excellent though are the front of house staff such as 'John' who have a great attitude, nothing is too much trouble and really make you feel welcome. Will return again purely...

I stayed here for a single night on my way from the Scilly Isles back to London. I chose it because it's right next to the station and so handy to roll out in the morning onto the train to Paddington. I actually had few hopes for this pub because it was just a practical choice. Certainly the long narrow...
