Booked a 4 night stay and was not dissappointed at all. We had a lovely seaview room with a balcony which looked on to Porth Beach. The Owner and staff were exceptionally friendly. Enjoyed the get togethers and drinks downstairs each evening with the other guests and owner. Great breakfasts, lovely view from dining room. We stayed here in September... More

Went up to my room with "stunning seaside views", only to find myself looking at a collection of sheds, the car park and the "valley views" (basically a caravan park). Went back down to complain, apparently the Wowcher deal meant I would need to have paid extra for the advertised "stunning seaside views", this was a complete lie to cover... More

I am not one for giving bad reviews unless justified but this hotel royally messed up my dad's 60th birthday weekend then ignored all correspondence since refusing to acknowledge us. I booked a 2 night break through Wowcher as a surprise and when my dad & his partner turned up all seemed fine at first (although they were not offered... More

Booked with a wowcher code direct by phone. Arrived today to find the door locked. When it was eventually opened we were told there was no booking. However, they said they had a few rooms. We were shown after repeatedly asking to see the room, to a tiny, dingy ground floor double room. When we said it wasn't suitable we... More

Stayed for two nights and were made to feel very welcome. The room was well equipped and clean, breakfast was delicious and served in a very relaxed manner. The staff realised that we were celebrating our anniversary and a card and chocolates were left in our room. A lovely relaxing break.

I booked a superior room for my boyfriend's birthday with a great view of the beautiful Porth beach and we were not disappointed in the least! There were chocolates & a birthday card waiting for him and the staff could not do enough for us. Very friendly and very clean. We will definitely return with our daughter next year! Dining... More

We booked this via a living social deal and when we called to book we were persuaded to upgrade to get the date we wanted. So say for the view! All I can say is I don't know what type of room we would have got if we didn't upgrade! The whole hotel is dated (stylish in the 60-70s!) brown... More

We visited this hotel in August and it was really lovely. Pro's - Great views from breakfast, the breakfast was fantastic, the room and bathroom was absolutely spotless, great shower, lovely mattress - we both had a great sleep, coffee and biscuits were nice (needed after a long day travelling and walking!) And the owner was very nice and made... More

The hotel does not deserve its 4 stars. We did not enjoy our stay, walls too thin, linen very tired. The whole place needs a total makeover. Wifi reception extremely poor both upstairs and downstairs, TV signal very weak. The only good thing was that we were not inspired to stay in our room, so got out and explored Penzance... More

We stayed here after receiving an invite for a wedding at a nearby hotel. This hotel was one of the only few available for the date we needed. For £97 in august in summer it seemed a fair price.....until we arrived. The hotel is so dated, with headache inducing air freshners as soon as you walk in. We then went... More
