Quite simply this is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in anywhere. I have stayed in hotels all over the world, some independent, some chains, some hugely expensive, some cheap – but I can honestly say that the Esplanade Hotel in Cornwall outclasses and ou-performs all of them without exception. Our room was phenomenal – huge and... More

We stayed here on a Turkey and Tinsel 3 night break. The hotel itself could not be faulted, staff were all welcoming, helpful and polite, buffet breakfast excellent. However, the one let-down was the room, which was somewhat isolated from others. It is located adjacent to a noisy, throbbing generator which ran from 6.30 each morning until 10.30 pm,causing the whole room to vibrate and rattling cups, glasses and... Just got back from a long weekend stay at the Esplanade Hotel Newquay. What a lovely hotel, staff Excellant and very polite. Food great, beds so comfortable and I am fussy about beds. Could not complain at all. Lovely views over Fistral Beach. Tea ,coffee , biscuits and milk in rooms. I am in my 70s and I loved it.

This was our second trip to Esplanade. We booked a couples winter night away with dinner, bed and breakfast. On arrival we were upgraded to the Quicksilver Suite. Such a lovely surprise and just want we needed, enjoying a lovely little break from the kids. The room has stunning views, spacious and you feel so at home. The dinner included... More

The hotel does not look great from the outside but the welcome is warm. The staff were friendly and helpful and remembered us too. The breakfasts were some of the best ever - hot food on the buffet with hot plates ready and with a view of the sea as a bonus.

Lovely hotel, very clean. Food expensive so we ate out at the red lion which was fantastic. The only downside is the walls are thin and you can hear neighbours tv at 6am! Location fantastic and easy walk to the beach

Booked this last minute after initial plans had fallen through. Stayed for two nights during the half term holidays with my husband and son. On arrival it was pretty chaotic but what was clear to see that as a family with a young child, we would fit in well. Plenty of activities for children if you wish to join in.... More
