Very comfortable hotel, a bargain for £20 a night plus a small charge for a tasty breakfast. Ideal place to hit the wedge waves at tolcarne beach just across the road. Helpful staff looked after my luggage, after checkout whilst I spent the day in the ocean. Room and bathroom clean and spacious

The staff here were lovely and the place was great value. I arrived fairly late, but had no issue with picking up the keys from the night manager and was pleasantly suprised with the room given some of the reviews on here. The room was dated, but also clean and comfortable, and it had everything you need - a CRT...

We booked the Cliffdene Hotel for our running club's annual weekend away. For the price we paid, the hotel was just what we were looking for and good value. It is central to Newquay and includes free parking. The hotel decor is a little tired but the rooms, bathrooms and everywhere in the hotel was spotlessly clean. The food was...

After being let down by the Travel Lodge, we managed at very short notice to book 3 nights at the Cliffdene, with special thanks to the manager. A very comfortable room, with all you need, including tea and coffee. Nice and warm and cosy, with a varied menu for breakfast, which was very nice indeed. All the staff were fantastic, so...

We got very good value for money with a small, warm double room at the back with not much of an outlook. Bathroom was small but recently refurbished and clean. Decor in room and elsewhere was rather tired (but was clean).Need to take your own toiletries. Parking was included which is a bonus for central Newquay. Only 5-10 minutes to...

I stayed at Cliffdene with a friend with a coach trip. The weekend was turkey and tinsel but we didn't know that til we got there. Room was clean and beds very comfortable, excellent nights sleep. Food was well cooked and plentiful. Very friendly and helpful staff.

This hotel was amazing, quick check in straight to a lovely room. The staff are outstanding, food was delicious with great choices and superb service. We were part of a coach party visiting Padstow Christmas market and the Eden project. My Mum who has limited mobility was very well catered for. A lift is available so no problems going upstairs....

Had a funeral to attend in Cornwall so decided to make a mini break out of it. I saw this advertised on a booking site, and at £40 for a night thought, that'll do. As said before on other reviews, it does look a little drab and dated from the front of the building and the reception area just needs...

I have just returned from 5 days at the Cliffdene Hotel. The hotel is of the traditional type - friendly, warm and welcomiing, and is in an excellent location on the sea front. The staff were cheerful and helpful, and nothing was too much bother for them. The rooms were clean and comfortable - good heater that worked really well,...

First impressions were not too good the reception area is very drab and outdated and not too clean looking, so was quite apprehensive about the guests rooms but although outdated they were very clean. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was nice and piping hot unlike some places where the food can...
