Lovely hotel with friendly staff and in very peaceful surroundings. The room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view with the sea on the horizon. Had a meal in the restaurant and was also happy with that, had the farmhouse grill which was a huge plate of food with a gorgeous homemade burger. There was also no problem for...

My husband and I returned to Porth Lodge Hotel after having our honeymoon there 37 years ago, and can honestly say was so glad we did. Although different owners now it was just how we remembered it all those years ago. Owners and staff lovely and friendly, our room was lovely with possibly the most comfortable bed ever slept in....

When we booked, we were expecting a king sized bed & bunk beds, got two single beds and a pull out double, room smelt damp and the shower cubicle was dirty, gave refund straight away and we found accommodation in Newquay. Maybe rooms that are OK according to reviews, but there certainly seems to be a problem with maintaining standards...

Was a quick nights stay in the hotel while we travelled up to go to flambards! Was very reasonable price £125 for four us for the night and breakfast! Breakfast was very yummy and big!!! The kids were made up that their was a bowling alley there and the price was very reasonable! We had our dinner while we waited...

Great place to stay with a young child. Affordable, great views, friendly staff, decent grub and breakfast. So much to do for little ones near by. Second visit and plan to go back next year. Doesn't Resend to be nothing it's not. Great fun with bowling alley. Fab place.

Dingey, shabby, dirty, tiny, claustrophobic 'hotel'!! Our room (23) was on 2nd floor...no lift, just long narrow corridors, worn carpets & lots of stairs. We had about 1 foot room on all 3 sides of the uncomfortable, broken old spring bed. Nowhere to place our belongings so had to keep everything in bags for the duration of our 3 night...

Another fantastic stay in room 25. Staff and management couldn't do enough to ensure the holiday went smoothly, ensuring we had the best time possible. Many thanks to everyone for helping me and my son have a great two week break away from the stresses of work and home. Thanks to Dave, Carol, family & staff.

Could not believe the condition of our room. Curtains just hanging from the window, bathroom door only half opened before hitting the bed, bedside cabinet drawers had been wedged with paper to keep them closed, handle missing from wardrobe door and lampshades bedside the bed hand burn holes in them. Not what you would expect for £90 a night. Unfortunately...

It's not just the excellent breakfasts (choice of various cooked and flexible about it) with fruit, yoghurt, juices and cereals on offer. Nor is it just the comfy beds and the quirky bowling alley next to the bar area, or the wonderful position just a mile or so North of noisy Newquay and ideally placed towards Watergate Bay, Mawgam Porth...

My friend and I stayed here for three nights on a trip to the Polo at Watergate Bay. Our room was immaculate and the beds so comfy we struggled to leave them. Breakfast was one of the freshest tastiest I've had in a hotel and service excellent. The hotel was a two minute walk to the beautiful bay. We booked...
