I stayed here last night for the second time as I was working in the area and it didn't disappoint for a second time. Lovely Wee place with a nice friendly bar and staff. I got apartment 2 to myself for a really good price. It's a few minutes walk from the most gorgeous beach ever and the mermaid down...

Recently spent 11 nights at Porth lodge which is a lovely old building with all the character and charm which you would expect of a 17 century property. The rooms were clean and fresh linen was provided on a regular basis, a regime of steady upgrade is also ongoing. This isn't a luxury pretentious 4/5star hotel it is what it...

Newquay will probably never be mentioned in the same sentence as the great destinations of the world, but within that context this is well more meaning and reasonably managed place. I'm not an electrician but certain aspects struck me as a bodge fest of extension leads and cables lazily cleated here and there, probably with no immediate danger to life...

Arrived late but greeted by lovely lady at bar... Got to room really small but clean - the lamps on the bedside tables unplugged but no where to plug them in (pointless), breakfast not served until 0830 (bit late). really noisy room, can hear all sorts next door and rowdy customers at bar - value for money? Not sure? Stay...

Hi. Thank you for your feedback. If you can let me know which room you were in I will check why the lights were not plugged in. All our table lamps have sockets located nearby so I dont understand why they had been unplugged. Sorry about other noisy customers on the night you stayed. Just to note we serve breakfast...

Three friends and I stayed at porth lodge when we went to boardmasters. The hotel was amazing. The staff was very friendly and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. The breakfast was well cooked and plenty to eat. We will definitely be returning next year and will be staying longer. We were all sad to leave.

We visited the lodge and used their ten pin bowling, a nice weather proof family activity and it's only a stones throw from Porth beach. Well worth a visit with family or friends. There's a good menu and they offer a ten pin bowling with food option

The breakfast was quite alright, it was warm and clean so that was nice. However this hotel is a bit run down and the enterioer not my taste, a bit outdated. The wifi was quite and it only worked in the restaurant. A bit difficult to find a first. You can walk to the city but I think it is...

We have been visiting every couple of years for about the last 20 years. Staff are friendly and there is always a lovely breakfast and evening meal. Porth Lodge is clean, comfortable and welcoming. Yes there may not be great wi-fi and maybe the decor in the rooms isn't the most modern however, these things aren't important to us. Great...

Lots of good things about this place. We arrived early and as our room was ready we were able to check in early. Carol was really helpful. Very comfortable bed. Our room was really clean. Breakfast was good - really appreciated the fruit and yogurt and our poached eggs were perfectly cooked. The old bar was comfortable and the beer...

Stayed for a weekend and the room was poor, no extraction in en-suite and had that damp smell. Was overpriced for what it was. The food and service was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Generally very basic and the bed was very uncomfortable and the duvet very thin. Would I go back....probably not.

Hi. Thank you for your comments. We are very sorry that the extractor in your en-suite was not working we will check all our en-suite extractors as soon as possible. We have just changed many of our duvets to summer weight but maybe a little too early for some. For future customers please inform us of any issues with your...
