My wife and I popped in for midday lunch after an excellent visit in 2017 with family. However this year was the complete opposite slow and indifferent service, the food was again very good ,and the toilets and bar were very clean shame that the staff could`nt be bothered, as the

Dads 80th and we had a family Sunday lunch. Dad got a complimentary glass of champagne, very nice. The staff were brilliant, the food absolutely delicious. Top notch. Thank you to all the staff that worked so hard to make it all so perfect.

My son took me for lunch. We enjoyed a lovely meal and at a good price.
The service was great. A real treat.
The only criticism was that three people were placed on a table next to us which was a tight fit. There was plenty of room else where. One of them nearly put his coat in

This is a small hotel that was formerly a Coastguard Station. It has room with ocean views and wonderful food and drinks. It is right in the middle of Mousehole and very popular for mealtime. Our room was small and quiet with a view of the ocean.

Dog friendly in bar area. Starters and main courses were delicious. Went on a very wet Sunday evening, so was really nice to have such a friendly welcome. Hake fish main course was delightful and highly recommended. Flavour combinations are delicious

I have read that the the best rooms are those with a sea view and balcony at the top of the hotel. Can anyone recommend a particular room and is there a lift in the hotel?
The room we stayed in, was at the car park end of the building and had a terrace / balcony with chairs and a table. You could see St Michaels Mount and lovely views of the sea. Very nice. (It also had a wet room) There is no lift, as far as I recall, however we only needed to go up one floor to our room from the bar and dining room. The lounge area is then down a further short set of steps. The hotel and it's garden is on a slope that runs from the road to the sea, so there are two main changes to the ground floor levels as it accomodates this. The road is almost level with the first floor bedrooms and the lounge area is about 12 feet lower with small flights of steps between. I think you can access some rooms from the road with minimal use of stairs, although getting to and from the main social areas will involve more stairs. Hope that makes sense.

Helo Do you have a duble room available from saturday 30. aug overnight to 31. aug? Svein Erik Kvalvaag
Svein, you should write to the HOTEL. See their website where you will find the email address for bookings. I made a comment on TripAdvisor but I do not run the hotel! Good luck.

"Ask for a room with the bathroom on the same level as the bedroom. There are lots of stairs and no bellman to help with luggage."
"Pay a little more and go for a terrace or balcony!"
"Most of the rooms have some sort of a seaview but the terrace rooms are nice."
