We visited the Old Coastguard in September for a drink with friends who live local and thought this would be a great place for a wedding party. After organising our wedding in Penzance we contacted Rohit at the Old coastguard to plan our wedding dinner and have just returned

Booked a two night stay with our young daughter and dog. It has always been a favourite of ours pre children, so I was a little worried that it might not be the same experience! We needn’t have worried as staff went out of their way to accommodate us all (including the dog!). We

Called in whilst visiting the famous Mousehole Christmas Lights. We arrived early for our reservation but this was not an issue, the charming staff set our table up early. Service was great very attentive but not in your face, food was fabulous. Will definitely be visiting

At first I want to say that this place is not cheap and it is almost same as London price. It is very expensive and if you don’t pay high price your room , you will be miserable. If you want to get best room will be top floor for NO.12 and 15, these rooms are absolutely

We had a drink in here mulled cider wonderful, while waiting for the Christmas lights switch on in Mousehole which was fantastic. The lights are amazing & the atmosphere in the whole village was fabulous. We had a lovely view of the sea while enjoying out drinks in the hotel.

The room we stayed in, was at the car park end of the building and had a terrace / balcony with chairs and a table. You could see St Michaels Mount and lovely views of the sea. Very nice. (It also had a wet room) There is no lift, as far as I recall, however we only needed to go up one floor to our room from the bar and dining room. The lounge area is then down a further short set of steps. The hotel and it's garden is on a slope that runs from the road to the sea, so there are two main changes to the ground floor levels as it accomodates this. The road is almost level with the first floor bedrooms and the lounge area is about 12 feet lower with small flights of steps between. I think you can access some rooms from the road with minimal use of stairs, although getting to and from the main social areas will involve more stairs. Hope that makes sense.

Svein, you should write to the HOTEL. See their website where you will find the email address for bookings. I made a comment on TripAdvisor but I do not run the hotel! Good luck.

"Ask for a room with the bathroom on the same level as the bedroom. There are lots of stairs and no bellman to help with luggage."
"Pay a little more and go for a terrace or balcony!"
"Most of the rooms have some sort of a seaview but the terrace rooms are nice."
