Had the advantage of visiting during the Looe Literary Festival so enjoyed a talk about smuggling on the Cornish coastline and a bit of a sing along! The place was busy and they serve a good range of local ales and ciders.

This is a medieval inn just off the harbour in West Looe. It is wide with many cosy rooms and a log fire. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they hold Folk Nights. Most of the people were local people and they were very welcoming to tourists. The atmosphere was great. Other nights may be quieter but I'd recommend these 2 nights.

As the oldest pub in Looe (500yrs) the pub was everything that we would expect, low beamed ceilings with a warm welcome. At breakfast the room was transformed with bright white table clothes and a really good choice of breakfast foods. Check-in was really straight forward with the chap behind the bar being very accommodating. We stayed in room 2...

A good, quirky little pub, full of character. Room small but adequate and warm. Very good breakfast served at the table. Frequent happenings downstairs like local folk musicians, poets, readers etc. Was winter when we stayed and Looe was a little miserable but a pleasant weekend stay nonetheless. A few parking places, with more pay and display, on the quay.

Not so good: We walked in the bar on our first night and it was as though someone had shot the piano player! All went silent and my wife and I felt...

This traditional seafarers ale-house celebrates 500 years this year and it is a wonderful little place. Warm and cozy, good range of ales and the staff are friendly and helpful. Everything you need from a 'Proper' pub.

Looe's oldest pub is a great place to stay nice friendly owners, the room we stayed in had it's own entrance so you didn't have to go through the main front door The room was a good size and the bed was comfy.

We arrived in Looe and after checking-in, visited the nearest hostelry. The Jolly Sailor is full of character with the property oozing artefacts and an air of real history. This one is a must if you are in the area.

We spent 3 nights at the Jolly Sailor Inn on a bed and breakfast basis. Very comfortable, clean and pleasant room , overlooking Princes Square. The bathroom/ shower was very clean and upgraded . The breakfast was excellent with choices of meals. The owners were charming and had a lot of local tales to tell. The location in West Looe...
