We had a wonderful stay at The Dolphin Hotel. The room was just lovely but unfortunately we were lacking a view (which we were aware of when booking) being in a room at the back of the hotel but Jean and Peter made our breakfast (which was very tasty) table up in the conservatory overlooking the Quay which was wonderful....

I had the fortune to stay in The Dolphin House during my stay in Looe. I think is not so much a hotel as a bed and breakfast. This was a very pleasant experience. At the end, upon checking out, I felt that I had made some friends, rather than conducting a business transaction. Peter and Jean really offer up...

Spotless pleasant double room with everything you could need lots of thoughtful items like biscuits and hot chocolate - everything of a high quality. Peter and Jean very friendly and thoughtful about our needs. A highlight to enjoy an excellent breakfast overlooking the river - we would like to return to a river view bedroom in the future. Would thoroughly...

My partner and I have just returned from our weekend stay at this lovely property. From the initial greeting by Jean, to the farewell from both Jean and Peter, this has to be the nicest place we have stayed at in the UK. Dolphin House itself is a lovely, beautifully comfortable and well maintained Victorian/Edwardian building with views across the...

Whilst Peter, the host was superficially very friendly, during our stay, whether by accident or design, he created an unfriendly atmosphere for us. On the first day we went down to breakfast Peter stared markedly at my wife's handbag suspiciously (stealing food?), when it was just to carry her hanky, comb and mobile phone, etc. Another day after breakfast I...

A warm welcome as usual from Peter and Jean, nothing is to much trouble to ensure you have a wonderful stay, the first floor room overlooking the river was excellent, very spacious and spotless. And the big bonus wth the parking situation in Looe is the free car parking very close to the guest house. Would highly recommend.

The nicest overnight experience we enjoyed during our trip to England was at the Dolphin House. Peter and Jean were truly wonderful hosts. Our beautiful bedroom suite overlooked the water. Breakfast was the best we had in England. Their hospitality made us feel comfortable and welcome. We loved sitting on the front porch with other guests, sipping a beverage and...

Really warm greeting by Peter after the long walk up to the B&B as it is quite high up from the road. A little mix up with the room as I had booked a harbour view with Booking.com but Peter changed the mistake & we ended up in room 4 which had a lovely view of the harbour. The mattress...

It's not the Ritz. It's a small , old fashioned guest house just up the road from town, run by a delightful couple who give excellent service. Had the most delightful weekend and we'll be going back again.
