Location not so ideal for proximity to restaurants. Hotel had no availability in the restaurant for the whole time of our stay. They were not even able to offer bar meals or room service. Stormy night and no alternative restaurants nearby. Spa closed due to Covid but when it re-opened we were not informed so missed opportunity to use facilities. We waited over 10 minutes to check out whilst the one receptionist was booking restaurants, spa treatments for a guest just checking in. - none of which was available to us when we arrived and no receptionist to assist with bookings for us....we sent away to organise ourselves. When we tried to complain, along with others, we were ushered off to a side room where the receptionist said she would follow up on our complaint and promised to call us when we returned home. The hotel never got in touch. Very disappointed given this is supposed to be a top rate hotel as reflected in the room price!

Stayed in a cosy double room, the room was in desperate need of a refurb- dirty bedding and bathroom. The room consisted of one chair and a double bed. Asked staff for extra bedding and it was as if we were a major inconvenience. It took them an hour to provide a second duvet. We were automatically booked in for breakfast at 7:30am and we were unable to change this booking on arrival. Breakfast was greasy- consisted of one rasher of bacon, one sausage and one egg. We went for an evening drink was told to sit down and someone would come and serve us- it took them over half an hour to do this, again we felt like an inconvenience to the staff. For £270 for one night, I wish I looked elsewhere.

Pros: * Friendly staff * excellent close-to-beach location * excellent food Cons: * Very slow service (particularly in bar) * Hot room (to be fair the staff provided a fan but rooms at top of hotel really need aircon) * Bathroom could be more modern / fresher considering price of room

so it was Sarah , she who must be obeyeds 50th birthday this year and what with the Covid and over seas travel out of the window we looked closer to home and found St Michaels in Falmouth The Room amazing - lovely big bed, great bathroom. clean sheets. lovely Aircon - which we needed this weekend! and a great sea view from the balcony Food - breakfast both mornings - i chose the full Cornish which was freshly cooked and nicely presented and was enough whilst the other half had the egg option scrambled or benedicts - one of her faves. Evening Meal - this was nice, a lovely table by the window to eat with a view! . Spa hydro pool - great saunas hot tubs and steam rooms we were booked in for 3 hours which might be a bit too long but enjoyable rhassoul clay wasn't sure what to expect and still wasn't sure when we had to do it but actually felt amazing afterwards my skin felt like new Couples Massage - felt really amazing afterwards and so relaxed - Thank you Ladies it was a great experience I would like to give a mention out to our waitress on a few occasions - LIV- she is an absolute asset to this hotel SOOO Glad we picked this for a short break Thanks to all at St Michaels for the experience

Currently staying at st Michaels resort in Falmouth and felt compelled to write a review as I have read some negative ones prior to our arrival. This hotel is absolutely stunning and definitely has the wow factor. We have had the pleasure of staying in some beautiful hotels and this definitely is on the list. We are staying in room 314 in the beach house which is large, beautiful and once again very lovely. We are here with our dog and everything is perfect for our stay. Every member of staff have exceeded our expectations.. they are polite, friendly, inviting and simply cannot do enough for you. We have eaten in the restaurant and wow once again the food has been outstanding. I cannot offer one negative comment about this hotel, our stay has been fantastic. The weather has been lovely albeit too hot for our poor dog but we have entertained ourselves Sensibly non the less. A huge thank you to all at the hotel for their warm welcome and hospitality and I must also mention the spa, beautiful and one of the best massages I have ever had. We will definitely be returning to this great hotel in the near future
