This lovely little Bed and Breakfast is 2 minutes walk from the Cathedral and centre of Chester. The location is excellent for visiting shops and sampling the delights of Chester's many eateries and pubs. The room we had was decorated with lovely old solid furniture. There was no bath but the en-suite shower was sufficient for our needs. The bedding and towels...

We enjoyed a very nice, comfortable stay here. It's in a very good location, quiet but close to the Cathedral and the historic centre. Breakfast was good, maybe a little earlier than we would have preferred but it got us out of bed. The town house is a great old building. There are exposed beams and squint door frames due...

Great location. Small room, but that's normal for a townhouse; just expect it. Great breakfast. The host was ... very hospitable, forthcoming with suggestions of what to see, where to eat.

This is a traditional guest house with well-equipped en-suite rooms within the walled city, in a quiet, historic street close to the North Gate (and to the Town Hall, Cathedral etc). As the name suggests it's an old town house so expect narrow stairs, uneven floors, charmingly out-of-date decor etc., but also a comfortable bed and everything in working order....

This was the perfect location inside the city walls. It was clean, affordable and convenient. The only possible negative was the smell of smoke in the lounge and breakfast area. Our room did not smell at all and I really only noticed it at breakfast. Breakfast was full English, cooked to order and wonderful! Our host was very kind and...

We were thrilled to find this affordable lodging inside the walls of Chester's center city! There is a car park located just a 2-minute walk away. Our host was very kind and carried our bags up for us, and offered dining suggestions. The bathroom and room were clean and well-appointed. The breakfasts were delicious - full English breakfast. My only...

This is one of the best b&b's I have ever stayed in. It is located in a beautiful old town house, offering a very high standard of accommodation. My room was on the top floor and was very spacious and had lovely tasteful decor with lovely period furniture. The only modern touch was the flat screen tv which was great,...

We had a wonderful stay. The room was cosy and restful and full of period charm. The breakfast was excellent and I must admit I did make a bit of a pig of myself. The owner is a lovely man who leaves you to your own devices, but is on hand to help when required. As the building is so...

Fell on my feet here, I`m a posh tramp, love my food and wine, and my B&B`s, I have been hitch hiking around England for a laugh. Loved Chester and after a night in The Town House I asked if I could stay a second night, no problem said the owner, a real gentelman and if there was a university...

“Our top room was sweet but would try one of the other rooms next time just for a change of decor. Don't be put off by some uneven floorboards and landings on the stairwell. You have to consider the amazing age and history of the B&B. Its all part of the charm and character.”
