This hotel proved to be an excellent choice for a couple of nights in Chester. It's close enough to the centre, about a 15 minute walk, yet a calm and peaceful haven after a day sightseeing. The staff couldn't be faulted, smiley helpful people, and the food was well cooked and tasty. I would have no hesitation in recommending this...

Very good small hotel in quiet street easy 20 minute walk from centre of Chester. Excellent food at both dinner and breakfast, lovely helpful staff and really good service. Large free car park which is a big plus for a city hotel. Comfortable lounge areas and small well stocked bar Would recommend

Checked in for a visit to Chester. Close to town (10 to 15 minutes depending on how quick you walk) and in a quiet area. Very laid back and nothing is hurried. Nice layout and proper comfy chairs. Food is quite good and the room is lovely, very comfortable and very clean. Would definitely recommend.

Probably our 4th, if not 5th, stay at the Brookside. If we are visiting Chester, which is a beautiful city to visit, we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else now. The hotel is cosy, comfy, clean and very well placed for a short walk into the centre. Free parking, lovely breakfasts and wonderful staff.
