Single room was modern and well funished/spotlessly clean/bed was amazingly comfortable and literally a stones throw from Chester Train Station and "The Live Rooms" venue. Owner was very friendly and quite dishy. Only downside was they didn't offer breakfast but there is a lovely little cafe right opposite. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone...

Just spent a lovely couple of days in Chester and chose The Ormande for the night. Check in was quick and easy. We were shown to our room and we were delighted with the cleanliness and how well decorated and equipped it was. It had all we needed for the 1 night stay. TV, clean bathroom, comfy bed, tea making...

When we arrived we where slightly concerned as we couldn't find the entrance which resulted in calling the hotel. That was where the concern finished the man came out to the car collected our bag told us to close our eyes and open them when we got to our room. The hotel was in the middle of a make over...

Stayed for 1 night with my partner in July. Before arriving I contacted the hotel regarding an early check in, I received a very prompt reply and my request was carried out. I had read previous reviews so was aware the hotel was under refurbishment and knew what to expect. The hotel manager greeted us on arrival and was very...

Stayed for 2 nights as it was cheap with the girlfriend. Pulled up to scaffolding on the outside which looks bad and they never warned us on the phone. Being led to see our room for the 1st time had me scared what I would see as creaky floorboards, flaking paint and old carpets made up the halls. The room...

As previously noted the hotel is being refurbished, I think they're about half way through the rooms. Outside scaffolding and a worn out reception do not give the best first impression but the room and staff were lovely. Our double room was at the front of the building, no noise at night(Thursday). The room was very clean and well furnished...

At first glance the hotel looks quite poor with scaffolding and communal areas in poor condition - this is work in progress though and the room was newly done and lovely. Basic room but comfortable and adequate for one night. Unfortunately the hotel is near a night club and music pounding from it could be heard and felt from the...

After reading the reviews it was clear that the new owners are making a massive effort to reinvent the hotel we decided to give it a go despite the previous reviews...I'm so glad we did!!! Just around the corner from the train station, over the road from a great little cafe, a short walk to great bars and restaurants. The hotel is in the process of being refurbished, there is scaffolding outside and the Reception is still quite dated but the room was lovely! You can tell they are really spending a lot of time...
