Booked ahead to stay here at almost £200 a night for a double room. When I was offered an alternative nearer to where I wanted to be, I discovered that I would be charged full room rate for cancellation a week early. Having said that, when we arrived they were very efficient and friendly, and booked a taxi for us... More

The single room was spacious and quiet, a bit old fashioned. However the bathroom was the width of the toilet with shower at far end and small basin on wall between. Difficult to move around in. The roomsafe situated at the bottom of the wardrobe required a torch to see and hands and knees to operate. Never managed to get... More

This is a nice, friendly hotel which is ideal for a short leisure stay in Cambridge. It was comfortable, clean and had all of the usual facilities which one would expect. It is relatively good value compared with other hotels in the area. The hotel is reasonably well located. The city centre is a 30-minute walk away or around £5... More

I found the Hotel difficult to find for some reason my GPS directions from both TomTom and iPhone took me to number 403 rather than 196 – the other end of the road when I put in the address. The bed and other furniture was so close to the window that it was fiddly to open and close the curtains.... More

We travelled to Cambridge to stay three nights for the Folk Festival. This hotel is within walking distance and therefore ideally located and also easy public transport access into Cambridge. The breakfast was cooked fresh and there was also a small continental selection for guests to choose. Staff were very friendly and eager to help. The car park is small... More

We stayed there for two nights for my son's graduation at Cambridge University. There was a mixup with our room (as we required wheelchair access), which the staff did their best to rectify. The staff and management are friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are lovely with a wide choice. The rooms are clean with an ensuite. I would stay there... More

One night stay at this hotel. I arrived in the early hours and was greeted by a very polite bloke who was very helpful, didn't catch his name. The room was clean and tidy although on the small side. The place was like a furnace, although the extremely hot weather didn't help a bit so cracked open a window, although... More

Family run hotel, with good service, but decor old fashioned and run down, and disappointing food for an Italian place. The bacon and egg at breakfast was the highlight. The hard chicken (was it chicken?) and soft veg with margarine flavoured mash the lowlight.

A lovely family ( Italian) run hotel, which was authentic Italian. Rooms were comfortable , I was at front of hotel, however was not disturbed by busy road. Very nice full English in the morning to start the day off right. Wifi a little temperamental. Staff excellent and very good at assistance where required - well done staff. If on... More

I went to Cambridge for a meeting at the university. My wife, a software engineer, came with me planning to work remotely. First problem: I reserved a room with a queen bed thru Concur (a popular corporate travel reservation system.) Upon arrival, I learned that I had reserved a very large bed for one person. Hmm. The price jumped 33%.... More
