A warm, clean hotel, food decent, continental breakfast was adequate but the full English looked lush! There are quite a few negative reviews about this hotel and I was worried about staying here (on business) but I was very pleasantly surprised. Room was fine, bed was very comfortable, there was a tv. The only issue I had was the scant...

The staff are very very kind and professional. My bed was comfortable, my room was warm and airy and quiet. The food was very good. Definitely go back there again. The towncentre is a beautiful walk away across the park. There is a car park at the back. There's no lift but they carried my bag up for me.

We came for three nights with very good friends who had used this hotel years ago, and appreciated its location and car parking. They were right on both counts, and their warnings about the technicolour carpets. Room in the block at the back was adequate, with a very small en suite shower, and a small double bed. Nights were disturbed...

I was perfectly happy with the Arundel and can't quite figure out why many people have such a negative impression of it. Check-in staff were friendly and efficient and I liked the general ambiance. My room was on the small side but perfectly adequate and clean. Dinner was in the Conservatory which was most attractive. Portions were massive and well...

Reasonable room. Large bed - though too soft to be comfortable. They gave me a quiet outlook as requested. BUT reception staff gave me a key that stopped working half way through my stay. The restaurant staff gave up on me half way through my dinner one night - and left me waiting ages to order a dessert. Not sure...

3 night stay. Comfortable, basic, clean, single room. Only minor complaint would be. Bit tight on the tea and coffee. I walk with a stick and would advise mentioning this when booking. Quite a few stairs in a big old rambling building but a quick email in advance and I was put in a room with access from the car...

The 2 great things, about this hotel are its location and the free parking. However that's about all the Arundel house hotel has going for it. I'm writing this review in the hope that it is,read by the management. The main thing that we noticed on our visit was the lack of warmth and friendliness from the staff. Everything seemed a...

Start with, being a big fan of Fawlty towers, I thought the hotel and staff were fictional until we booked into the Arundel. Now we know these hotels really exist. The staff were rude, the manageress never smiled once. The continental breakfast was a piece of cheese, unpeeled fruit, warm bread masquerading as toast and a selection of cereal from...

Recently spent one night at this old build hotel. For: 1. Some rooms overlook the River Cam 2. There is resident parking 3. Continental breakfast is good 4. Hotel is within easy walking distance of the centre of the city Against: 1. It is old and creaky 2. Be aware of what your booking entitles you to ( full breakfast,...
