Yes, this place is dated, and the rooms are small, but it is convenient to High Wycombe. We found it difficult to get any service, such as a warm breakfast, even though it was advertised as being available all day. We were told the cook was on holidays. No dinner available, and the bar only opened when someone thought to... More

Had to book a late 2 night stay in High Wycombe for an operation at Wycombe hospital. This place came up as available on laterooms. I paid £160 for 2 adults for both nights. On arrival the staff member asked if we required breakfast, if so it was an extra charge of £7.50 extra per person per night,if I remember... More

Despite the bad reviews on here, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Clifton Lodge. It was quiet, warm, had an excellent shower and the breakfast was great. Excellent value for money. The upkeep of the house was excellent.

I stayed here on a business visit. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They are very caring and phone you if you have booked but not checked in by 10pm (and haven't said you're checking in late) ... Just making sure you're ok. ( as a solo female traveller, this is very reassuring). My room was beautiful. I booked a... More

You most certainly get what you pay for! The hotel is very dated and run down. The kitchen has most certainly seen better days, as has the dining room. I overheard a conversation with other guests who were trying to order dinner, most of what they asked for was not available. One asked for lasagne, which was on the menu... More

Thank you for your feedback.Sorry that something was not available on the menu.It is not always possible to offer all the items listed on the menu. The rooms have just been renovated and some areas in the public area have been painted and fitted with retro furniture and fittings. This probably might not appeal to your taste. However it matches the... More

Although my wife and I only stayed for one night, we found the whole experience very pleasant. The room and ensuite were very well presented and extremely clean. Plenty of off-road parking. All the staff were polite and helpful...nothing too much trouble. Simon the chef dished up a very respectable evening meal and breakfast. All in all we would definitely... More

Arrived at the hotel and was met be the only employee working that evening, who made a good effort juggling jobs, and booked me into my single room efficiently. I asked him if the restaurant was open for food, and although it was, he was so busy he had a queue waiting to be served, and recommended I walk into... More

Only stayed there for one night. The was room ok. Nothing special. Nice bathroom and a comfortable bed. And although the room was at the front of the hotel there was hardly any noise from the busy road outside. Staff at the reception where pleasant enough. Getting out of the hotel grounds was fairly difficult with the busy road being... More
