A very friendly hotel offering small rooms to stay for a few days. Nice breakfast if it is included in the price. One of the issues is that it does not offer free wifi if you don't make the booking through the actual hotel. Also it does not have an elevator for the top floor rooms so it might be...

We booked this due to good reviews on Trip Advisor and the photographs deceived us into believing this was a sympathetically updated period property. Oh dear, the hotel is well past it's sell by date. Before entering the hotel I had doubts as I noticed the external flaking paint and lack of maintenance. We asked for a quiet room and...

If you had a choice of similarly price hotels you be better off elsewhere. This is a very tired looking hotel, which is in serious need to refurbishment. Reception is tired and uninviting, the rooms are poor, even in an executive double. The bathrooms are poor, diabolical showers and very shabby decor. The rooms have tired looking wallpaper and is...

Dear Mikem063, Thank you for taking you time to place a review after your recent stay with us. I was very sad to hear that you were disappointed with the decoration around the building. We usually receive a lot of positive feedback about our reception area and how welcoming it is. We are a 3 star guest house so a...

My booking was done via a 3rd party on my behalf. I'd been on the website before arriving and was driving - it boasts parking but it's impossible to find, you need a passcode to get in round the back and most of the spaces are for another company. I headed in and was a bit annoyed to find I...

Stayed at the washington probably about 5 times now. We frequently travel to Bristol most years for someones birthday. Brilliant hotel, friendly staff and fantastic breakfast. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Bristol. While in a quieter area The Washington is within walking distance of the city centre.

Chose this hotel as I was solo at a wedding, and the bride had advised me that it wasn't far from the venue. As I was on my own I thought it would be a good choice of hotel. The photos looked like it was a nice hotel, so I booked it for Friday and Saturday night. When I got...

Ok, let's start with the negatives to get them out of the way. It's shabby, which I don't mind really but could do with updating.
