A small, warm and cosy hotel in a good location in terms of train station, cricket ground and town centre. Clean, free of noise and comfortable rooms. Owned and run by a friendly couple who really made me feel at home. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel's okay, and the manager friendly enough - but anyone staying there should know that breakfast is continental and served 8am - 9am, even on a Sunday, with checkout time at 10am. We asked if they could at least save a croissant for us, as we probably would not be down for 9am, but were given a firm no.

the Arches Hotel was excellent value - small, comfortable single room - i didn't have ensuite but had a shower and 2 toilets close by - clean and didn't have to wait. i can't rate the breakfast because I didn't make it for breakfast. The owners were warm, friendly and very helpful - I can strongly recommend this - at...

I stayed here two years ago for 7 weeks when I first moved to Bristol. Wendy and Francois, the owners, were hospitable and flexible, not charging extra after my sons came to stay and I stayed on a few days in a triple room (for single room rate). Also, although breakfast officially started at 7.00, if you let them know...

Hotel/B&B close to the Cheltenham Rd, Bristol. Peaceful place, close to a lively student area. Very welcoming owners. Décor and fittings slightly frayed. Not all bedrooms have en-suite facilities and so have to share 2 toilets, one with a shower. The shower could be a lot better.

Really well located (only a couple of miles from the harbour), great price and lovely staff. A little bit worse for wear in places but very clean, quiet and a comfy bed. We'll definitely stay next time we're in town.

Overall a very pleasant stay. Comfortable room. Very welcoming owners. Great location. No air conditioning in the property but a fan was provided and our room was rather fresh as a result. On the 'con' side a lamp bulb on the top of our sink burned and when we requested a replacement the owner told us that it would not...

My stay at this B&B was wonderful, price was really cheap considering the location, just off the main road full of shops, bars and restaurants, the welcome from the manager was so lovely, warm and friendly, the room was fine for the price, bed very comfortable and en-suite good. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and overall just a brilliant...

The Arches is situated near the shore, restaurants aplenty, short walking distance to places of interest. Staff are very vriendly, rooms comfortable and clean, we were a group of 17 attending a wedding and this was our 2 night stop over in order to buy appropriate wedding gear, no one had any problems with is hotel
