Stayed here for a couple of nights whilst on training course. Nothing was too much for the hotel, all staff extremely helpful and polite. They even phoned day before arrival to just let me know they has building works on. Honestly a lovely hotel and will remember it if I need to come into bristol again.

Dear Rachel C, Thank you much for your kind review. I am so pleased we suited your needs and you enjoyed your stay with us. The restoration works are quite extensive and we certainly don’t want anyone’s stay to be impacted by this so we are trying to inform everyone on booking of the work and also through our routine...

Stayed here 3 nights over a weekend. Parking is a real problem here, particularly at the moment with extensive roof repair work which reduces the availability of parking in front of the hotel due to scaffolding and skips. If you're lucky you'll get a place but you have to pay for this at £7 per day, or alternatively on street...

Dear cjpvision, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. I am certain I can address those issues you have highlighted swiftly and have the Rodney back up to our usual high standards quickly. As you mentioned, we are undergoing some restoration work to our roof an also the windows at this time. It has meant that one...

On the positive side the room we had was spotlessly clean. The reception staff (Max in particular ) was faultlessly professional & couldn't do enough to help my beautiful Julie and I on our 1 night stay.On the downside don't bring your cat as you won't have enough room to swing it about as the room was rather small and being...

Dear gravesend58, Thank you for taking the time to review the hotel, it is so lovely to read that you would like to stay with us again, the very best endorsement! Max and the team all remember Dixie fondly and as a team of dog lovers we are all most excited to welcome them to the hotel. I am sorry...

We think that value for money the Rodney is great and it's our third stay there. The location in Clifton Village is perfect for all the shops and pubs and the walk to the waterfront takes about twenty minutes. It's an old typical Clifton building and therefore quirky with a lovely little bar and restaurant. The best thing about the...

Dear Marie L, Thank you so much for taking the time to review the Rodney, it is always so nice to hear from repeat guests. Our situation within the city is extremely convenient and is ideal for exploring the city from. As you said the waterfront is only a 20 minute walk down hill and a quick bus ride back...

My friend and I were down in Bristol for the weekend and had a very enjoyable stay. The rooms were very comfortable (despite their size) and we got 2 nights of great sleep. The only downside was that we never had any hot water throughout our entire stay! We grinned and beared it at first but on our last day...

Dear ag0ldman, Thank you so much for your very kind review. Max was so thrilled with the mention and also that he was able to retrieve your lost paperwork! I am so terribly sorry for the issue with the hot water during your stay. We have identified an intermittent fault which is causing the pressure on the boiler to drop...

Right in Clifton Village and 5 mins walk from the suspension bridge so location is excellent. Rooms not massive but nice enough for the price. Max on reception was kind enough to arrange parking and offer some tips for the weekend. Would definitely reccomend it as a good value base from which to explore town.

Positives. Very central location, breakfast good, and staff on desk and in breakfast room were polite and helpful. (Particularly Matilda ) Negatives. Tiny room, tiny bathroom (could not even sit on the loo properly due to position of loo roll holder), bed was sheet and blankets (some like, but I dont), bathroom had a funky smell to it. 2nd floor...

Dear barnitt, Thank you for your review. I am so pleased that you enjoyed Matilda’s service and found our location suited your needs. It is disappointed however to read that you were not completely satisfied with your over all stay. Our room sizes do vary, which is in large part due to the period nature of the building. We do...

The staff was friendly and the hotel is in a good position, but I experienced way too many small problems: * The room was tiny and the bed was short * Nice that they give three fresh fruits at the beginning of your stay, but... Great location in Clifton, very close to the bridge. Friendly, helpful staff and tasty breakfast. We enjoyed the very good coffee on offer in our hotel room. If you enjoy a jog in the morning then this is a great location in terms of the bridge and surrounding area. Very good value for money.

OK, OK, OK. All OK nothing bad but nothing particularly good! Thought room was on the smaller size, comfy bed and warm. Didn't like the shower controlled from just the bath taps. Breakfast was adequate, but no croissants or yogurts and the coffee was well just OK!

Dear Alf S S, Thank you for your feedback, I’m glad you found everything to be ‘ok’.
