Good comfortable clean hotel. I slept really well in both nights. The staff were very friendly. My bedroom didn’t have a bath nor a Nespresso machine but some of my group did. It’s only 5 mins walk from Bristol TM station and an easy walk into the vibrant city centre. If you have time, look around the 13th Century St Mary Redcliffe church next door

Hotel's Favourite
We had initially booked for a 3 night stay at another hotel in Bristol but when we arrived it was closed. It had probably not re-opened after the relaxation of Covid rules, but would have been nice to know! Anyway this hotel saved us a long drive back home. From check in to check our 3 nights later it was perfect. A great location to also visit other places from; we went to Bath, Weston-Super-Mare and Cardiff. Our room was very clean and very comfortable. All the usual amenities were there plus it had a shower instead of a bath which was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful no matter what the query. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or to recommend it to anyone.

Traveling for work I booked this hotel as it offered parking and was near my meeting place. This is also a good location for visiting Bristol quay and places like MShed museum, SS Great Britain and there are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. On arrival there is a car park which costs £15 for 24 hours and you can pay for this at reception when you check in. I had prepaid the hotel but oddly they will not give you a VAT receipt until you check out. Check in was fairly easy and we were given a hot cookie which was a nice touch. Our room was on the second floor with a choice of using the lift or stairs. The room was clean and toiletries provided. Bed was not great, quite hard and the pillows really squashy so we didn’t get the best night. There was air conditioning but this switched itself off. We had the window open early evening and we got the smell of cooked food coming in which was not pleasant and can only assume we were near the kitchen extraction. Check out was OK but they couldn’t print my receipts so emailed them instead. Didn’t eat here as the room rate of £99.60 did not include breakfast and we didn’t eat any other meals here. Overall an OK stay but not as good as Hilton Garden Inn which we found offers bigger rooms and more comfortable beds.

The location is brilliant for the harbour area and also not far from the station. Lovely view of St Mary Redcliffe church. The hotel has a very strange entrance because reception in on the first floor, from the various car parks the entrances are also rather odd. The reception are is bright and well decorated. The nearby bar has no windows. The Kiln restaurant is delightful. The breakfast was great. Lots of choice somethings cooked to order. Dinner menu was good too. However the restaurant was closed on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday which was a shame. Our room on the top floor was tired and needed refurbishment. The mattress was worn out. There were not many electric sockets for today’s needs. Everything worked. There was a kettle and coffee maker but no fridge. We had free water each day. The view of the church was great.

We approached from the West, it looks like a 1970s car park from this angle and the arrow to reception led us up more concrete steps to a less than salubrious entrance. However once inside the Hilton ambience took over as you would expect, plush carpets, well signed corridors and rooms and open areas without any claustrophobia. Check-in was efficient and dealt with by a very pleasant young lady, checking allergies before handing over the scrumptious warm cookie! The facilities in the room were adequate, we had a coffee machine in ours, not sure if everyone gets that? Bathroom was a little cramped but functional. Decent sleep and a trip to breakfast in the kiln restaurant. This is where it fell down for us, tea was served from a flask that had probably been sat for an hour so was tepid and tasted rather horrible, they did fetch a fresh cup for us both but wasn’t up to the standard expected really. The cooked breakfast was luke warm and the mushrooms had clearly come out of a tin. Fruit selection consisted of slices of water melon, grapefruit and pineapple, could’ve done better there too. Nice selection of cereals and mini pastries however!

Positive enough stay: nice room, good breakfast, smart bathroom, warm cookie on arrival, comfortable bed and good location. Even better ifs: the fixed shower head had dropped which meant I couldn't get my head under without ducking and there were hairs in the shower which were clearly not mine. Following up on other comments about check in - despite there being three staff on reception and only one couple being checked in, I had to wait a long time as two were sorting something else out. When the couple being checked in were finished, it took a while for staff to acknowledge my presence. A simple, 'sorry, we'll be right with you' would have been a significant improvement. Staff were very friendly otherwise.

Just had another fantastic break in Bristol, We stayed in on of our old favourites in the city , The double tree by Hilton in Redcliff, As a treat we booked an executive delux room which we knew would be on a high floor after staying in one a couple of years ago, Unfortunately the room was very dated and tied, Thread bear carpet, Blackout blinds that were not fit purpose , Chipped furniture , ETC, Not like our old room, Potentially I can ignore these issues but as per the title one thing was massively wrong, The left hand window in our room which is a tilt and turn design was broken and not secure, What I mean by this is you could open the window 90 degrees , I’m not hiding away from anyone and I’m happy to give dates of stay and room number, Arrived 24th March Departed 26th March Room 507 This room potentially is 7 stories up with a fall off 70 feet to 100 feet, Why is this room being let out with this fault? What if a single parent stayed with a child? What if someone was totally disoriented in the middle of the night, I doesn’t bear thinking about, Why aren’t these things checked on customer change over, reported and sorted, For my own piece of mind this was reported to reception upon checkout, I’ll attach picture’s, I await contact from the hotel with an update, Please travel safe

Stayed here at the weekend, it was okay. The room was okay, check in was okay, no issues but no wow factor either, just pretty basic and a pleasant stay. Seems pricey for what it is but guess that is the Hilton name.

The room had an active leak, black mould in the bathroom and the water pressure completely went on our final day. We were offered recompense which has since been sent incorrectly. In my opinion, a terrible service and will not be returning again.

In common with another review we also had to wait 20 minutes to check in , we arrived at 3.15 on a Saturday, there were only 2 staff on check in and 2 trainees who could not help (I checked) . The reception area was very hot and had an airport like queueing system. My husband sat patiently in the bar and noticed there were 4 bar staff with nothing to do. I do not blame the 2 staff on reception who were following procedure (and offering warm cookies etc), but surely you could train more staff to help on a busy Saturday, or have a no frills check in I was therefore dreading breakfast on Sunday morning but what a pleasant surprise, it was like arriving in a different hotel, lots of helpful staff, excellent selection of food, and a relaxing experience Overall a Very Good rating due to breakfast and breakfast staff, but not for having to wait 20 minutes to check in

Dear Denise, Thank you for taking your time to leave a review if your stay with us. I am sorry you experienced long check in ques, we are a very busy hotel and experience busy check in times especially on a peak weekend, unfortunately our bar staff do not step foot on reception as they apply for and are hired for bar and restaurant only. We only have two check in computers so the additional receptionists would not be much use, but we area aware that at peak times there can be a longer wait to check in so we are looking at ways to reduce and improve this. I am however glad that the long check in time is the only thing preventing us from a higher score. We hope you stay with us again soon. Kind regards,
