Lovely hotel and fantastic value - the staff are really good and we had a really nice stay. The cocktails in the bar are very nice too and well worth a visit during the stay! Rooms are great with proper black out blinds - Makes for a good nights sleep Will stay again

Just had an all day meeting, dinner and overnight stay at this hotel. The staff are as good as i have come across, nothing was too much trouble. Great location if a bit confusing regarding car park. The food was excellent, whilst I'm sure we got Summer rates this was excellent value for money.

This is one of the best UK hotels I have stayed at. Rooms and service were great, as was the overall feel for the place, the decor was really nice. The hotel is in a great location too which was ideal for the business trip. Most definitely recommended.

Secure parking onsite for £16 for guests. Reception staff helpful and efficient and allowed us to check in at 12.30 - very early for a four star in my experience. Room clean quiet and spacious. Our room did not overlook the street. Free and working wifi in our room. Nice bar with good service. Buffet breakfast absolutely brilliant. Wouldn't hesitate... More

Really helpful and friendly staff. This hotel has an old fashioned grandeur - loads of marble in the public areas etc. The bedrooms were comfortable and furnished in a slightly old fashioned way, which suited the hotel. The bathroom was lovely and the room was not the traditional box shape which made it more interesting. Free bottled water in the... More

I stayed for a weekend, 14th-17th August, when I arrived at the hotel I was tired from travelling and it was great to find that my room was ready. I was told on arrival that I have a Queen room booked but they could upgrade me to an executive room, great I thought that was a nice touch, when I... More

I stayed here over a weekend to visit my daughter who lives in Bristol. The staff were excellent in all areas. They were however let down in some areas. Let here seemed to be some confusion about my booking and whether it was one or two nights. When I rang reception to tell them I had booked two nights they... More

Nice hotel, friendly staff, rooms are reasonably spacious. Spa nice, gym small but well creative use of space and well equipt. Restaurant and bar were OK. Evening meal happened to be steak night ... I did find my ribeye a little disappointing, not a nice piece of meat. Breakfast had lots of choice. Nice location close to attractions and restaurants/bars.... More

This hotel is set in a superb location, in the city centre and on the green. A grand old building with parking and leisure facilities. We had a really nice stay, however, they should open the larger bar rather than the small one as its a cramped space. Room wise, they are nice and big but could do with a... More
