Olde world charm in this historic hotel. Comfortable and spacious room and good facilities. Travelling on business so my needs were few but this did fit the bill and, located next to Bristol Cathedral, gave plenty of opportunity for walking to see the sights.

Stayed here overnight for a weekend break. Wouldn't use the hotel again because although its a great location with parking the deluxe rooms are basic with extremely hard bed no mini bar or fridge in the room, limited tea and coffee supplies. No worth the money. One positive was the breakfast was good but had to wait for tea and...

The hotel is very nice and the staff are extremely welcoming and polite. There is a great Tea & Coffee room here which is very relaxing. They also have a restaurant and a bar I isn't go to either of them but they did look pleasant enough. My room was ready as soon as I arrived which was about 4...

Opulent olden times hotel which retains many original features. I loved the furnishings, decor and space. However, my original room a "deluxe double" had nothing deluxe about it! Correction it did have a beautifully comfortable Hypnos bed but carpets and furnishings were worn and stained. Housekeeping standards are well below standard - dust everywhere etc, etc. Problems with a noisy room...

I have stayed here quite a lot over the past few years and I stayed June 2016 and then early April 2017. My June stay was problematic despite many prior calls and emails and arrangements being made on the type of room (as we were staying for 10 days+ with 2 infants) but they did help us fix things eventually...after...

Poor coffee and fruit juice at breakfast and a bid of a crush for the food spoiled my experience. Could have done much better at Cafe Nero for half the price. We were given a room at 1400 but our friends who arrived at 1600 had to wait. Nive room

You sense the former grandeur of rich Victorian mercantile Bristol wealth as soon as you see the statue of Queen Victoria immediately outside the hotel. Perhaps not the best 'fit' for the Marriott brand. Nevertheless they have kept some of the original fittings in public areas and in the bedrooms: old style victorian taps and mirrored wardrobes for instance. The...

This has been a disappointing visit for a night away with my spouse. I am a regular Marriott user and have come to expect a decent standard when it comes to rooms, facilities and service. The staff at the hotel is pleasant and helpful, but the hotel is in desperate need of investment and upgrade. Carpets are worn, furniture is...
