Some friends booked this hotel for my birthday and there were 6 of us that stayed. Initially I was a little worried due to the poor reviews. However I have to say that I was extremely happy with the room, the breakfast and the location. Our room was clean and modern, and we were not disturbed in any way by...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

I stayed here for 5 nights for work purposes. My room was large and recently refurbished. The bed was very comfortable. There were extensive renovations taking place on the ground floor during my stay, and I was impressed how well the hotel operated despite this disruption. The breakfast was included in my room rate, and was a reasonable buffet selection...

One of the worst hotel stays I have ever had. I need to go back there again tonight and I'm dreading to go. I am staying there on a business trip. Yesterday when I was checking in with the receptionist Stefano, I asked him to check if there is a meal allowance included in my booking. His English is extremely...

Great location with helpful staff. Not sure about the 'relaxed' check in idea, the traditionalist in me still likes a check in desk but it did make for a friendly environment. We stayed in a recently refurbished room, on trend styling reflecting parts of Bristol, we particularly liked the modern bathroom with white metro tiles and patterned floor tiles although...

Stayed last weekend, please ignore anyone complaining about lamps or parking or drawers! You are not moving in and it is not a hotel's responsibility to sort our your parking. The workmen are nearly all finished and the hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool is one of the best hotel pools I have used although agree with...

I had a two night stay for work and it went wrong from the start. Whilst I checked it had parking nothing mentioned the height restriction. After trying to find a sister hotel with suitable parking and failing the other receptionist finally came up with a solution which meant parking behind a workman down the side road. This meant I...

We always prefer to book with the hotel direct. This was challenging at The Grand. We were attending a friends wedding and as a family had 3 rooms booked. We all had problems with our bookings. The hotel lacked warmth on check in and on 2 occasions we had problems with our key and had to return to reception. The...

Though a French hotel chain they have taken on board the art and culture of Bristol to make a fun hotel. We liked the designs in the corridors and the art in the rooms. The central position with a car park made it very easy to get around and explore.

I booked this hotel at the start of February as I saw it going for a very good price for the weekend that we had an event booked in Bristol. Having booked and paid via an agent on a comparison site I then decided to read the TripAdvisor reviews... Oh dear! That is a mistake I won't make again. Note...

Hotel itself is fine (if not slightly overpriced for what it is). The bar tender (possible bar manager) was extremely rude and didn't seem to care if he was upsetting people or not. Such a shame as for a nights stay the hotel was fine, but after this mans attitude we will never be back
