From first approaching the property it looked old and dirty. My wife asked if we were really staying here! The room was terribly noisy, right on the busy main road on the first floor. Emergency vehicles sirens were a real nuisance. The whole place felt not clean, pealing paper in the room, damage to wood, and generally uncared for. The...

The outside isn't much to look at but don't let this put you off – the hotel is great and as expected: reliable, clean; excellent value for money and a decent breakfast to boot. Friendly staff, super comfy beds, good shower and facilities. The hotel bar is open late and the parking is secure. Excellent location for a city break. Not...

My wife & I recently stayed overnight at the Holiday Inn Express and we were pleasantly surprised, although first impressions as you arrive at the door are not encouraging - the hotel is located in an ordinary 60s building on a very busy main road, over a noisy bar and next door to a derelict filling station! If you are...

We stayed there for two nights for an appointment at Bristol University. The Hotel was just 30 minutes away. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Car parking was cheap £20 for two full days and two nights. The breakfast was quick and easy for guests. All brought out in the morning, scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, cereals, coffee, tea, rolls, jam,...

The Holiday Inn Express chain is like McDonalds in that you know what you are going to get in terms of the room, food and layout. The only variable is the location and the service. I stayed here on business and it was handy for the Tribunal Courts which are 15 minutes walk away. If you are coming to Bristol...

From the outside , it looks like an office block but don"t be put off as it"s not too bad inside being pleasantly bright and tidy . Took a few days here with the main purpose of a beer festival opposite . From the start , it is directly opposite Temple meads station entrance so it"s on a very busy...

Near Temple Meads Station on a busy road, but the soundproofing is excellent. Good and secure parking facilities. Rooms clean and very usable and the beds very comfortable. The staff, in particular one of the reception staff (ZOE) were extremely friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast good, though scrambled egg to be avoided. Overall, very good value for money

I stayed here for one night as I needed a stop-off next to Temple Meads Station. Comfortable and clean room, good breakfast and attentive staff. It is a bit isolated from other amenities, such as restaurants, however.

Weekend visit to attend a 40th birthday party and do a bit of sightseeing. Bristol is a BIG city so you should allow plenty of time to get around although many of the top attractions are within walking distance.
