The staff were really nice and helpful and I felt welcomed. The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable. I would stay again as it was definitely value for money. The only sticking point was the breakfast menu did not appear to have vegan options which meant having to go out and find somewhere open at 8am
The hotel sits right next to a major 4-lane road and a massive shopping mall. It's modern and somewhat lacking in atmosphere. The rooms are large and fairly clean, but also pretty basic in regards to amenities. Perfectly acceptable as a place to stay for business, it serves it's purpose for sure. But I would prefer to stay somewhere with character if/when I visit Bristol again. Having said that, the hotel did offer free parking and was very close to the centre of town.
Someone was in the room is been given, apparently turned out to be a computer error even though the staff hadn’t swapped the rooms around. Urine was in toilet when we first entered the room. Charged £12 on top of the room rate for breakfast and when it arrived it was cold and all over cooked, certainly not worth £12.
Very well managed with Covid requirements. Felt safe. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Parking facilities very useful and free. Rooms clean and tidy. Great location for accessing city centre area.
Weird that during a pandemic very hotel has different rules and some don't make sense. Like the staff here. None appeared to wear masks when together behind the desk. And you are temp checked on the first night f your stay but not the rest (what if you picked up the virus in-between?). Prices were also far higher than most hotels in the city and I failed to see why. BUT the room was adequate and you get biscuits with your tea and coffee making facilities), bed very comfy. You can also get draft beer, but when I asked for it to be to the actual pint line/top of the glass I was looked at with contempt by both members of staff. After reading reviews on here about the incredibly friendly staff I must have been very unlucky with my stay. Two nights, different staff on mostly and I didn't experience this friendliness at all. Decor wise, it's very early 90s and the corridors could do with a tidy up. As one review summed up, for the price during the pandemic you could'er help but feel that travelodge or premier inn would be the same for cheaper. …
