We are YHA fans but had never been to Bristol before. Its city centre location is absolutely superb and it is a beautiful old building. The shared kitchen works well and there are lovely shared spaces for relaxing with a drink in the evening, too.

Awesome location in the centre of Bristol, within range of tons of excellent tourist attractions and night spots. It's an easy walk to the suspension bridge. Rooms were clean and simple. It got quite loud when some people were arriving back from their revelries, but that's to be expected in this sort of location. Great breakfast buffet.

I stay here occasionally when visiting Bristol for work. Wonderful staff, wonderful location, wonderful cafe in particular. The only issue is the lift - the fifth floor with a suitcase is a bit of a climb :-)

Dear Guest, Wow top marks! Thank you so much. We are delighted you enjoy staying with us. We are working on a resolution on the lift but in the meantime the team will happily assist you with your luggage. :-)

The staff were friendly and carried my suitcase up the stairs to the 5th floor since the lift (which runs from the lower ground to the 4th floor) was broken (this was at the end of Feb 2017). The hostel has a number of communal areas to spend time in. I stayed in a private room (shared shower). There are...

We were in town for a festival at vaious venues around the city & wanted somewhere central but cheap to stay. The location of this YHA was great. Right on the waterfront (where everyone sits out in the sun and drinks!) The hostel was nice and modern and clean but a bit inpersonal. There were a lot of older people...

We stopped at the YHA restaurant at 14 Narrow Quay Bristol for a meal today. We were a family of 5, with 3 children under 10. The children's menu was small but absolutely fine. Spaghetti Bolognese or Spaghetti in tomato sauce. We adults enjoyed choosing from the 'build your own burger' range, and there were lots of other choices. We...

Excellent location at the water front. A lot of pubs and restaurants nearby. Comfy beds, warm duvets, clean toilets and bathrooms, well equipped kitchen, good lifts, free strong wifi, etc.. This hostel also has a nice common area for guest to relax. Highly recommended.

YHA have the most fabulous locations whether city (usually wonderfully central) or in stunning countryside. I've clocked up almost 60 years of using them, not continuously, but from age 14. Many are really excellent if you don't mind sharing - which I don't as I like meeting people. Bristol is brilliantly positioned on the harbourside in an old riverside warehouse....

All round a nice hostel. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Walls are a little thin, but to be expected. The wifi doesn't always reach the higher floor rooms and the shower being a complete wet room is a little awkward if you don't know the others in the room, but overall had s great stay.
