Clean and COVID complient. Food was as you would except from this type of venue, it was good. Our waitress (wearing a cat face mask) was so lovely, she looked after us so well. Service was efficient and friendly. Thank you for your hospitality.

This was a great location for us on our one night stay. We walked 1 hour into Bakewell centre (try the original Bakewell pudding shop) then the next day we walked 1 hour in the opposite direction to Chatsworth House through lovely sheep filled fields! The staff were incredibly nice, the room and bed was clean & comfy, bathroom dated but clean. You are staying in a pub. Unfortunately the food was absolutely revolting. The rotisserie chicken at dinner was fatty, grizzly and red, the corn was cooked so much it was mush. Chips were the bottom of the bag. Breakfast was a car crash, it was not edible. Black and with the cheapest ingredients possible, whoever thinks it’s acceptable to serve that poor standard of food to paying customers needs their employment reviewing. there were also 5 times we ordered something during our stay but it want available, which was probably for the best! Lovely staff though.
