If you are visiting this area, you could not find a more friendly place to stay with your dog. The food is excellent, lots of choices for breakfast, freshly cooked and delicious. Lovely views, great garden to relax in after a long day and local walks to suit all. We will return, the hosts made us feel at home and we felt we had made some special new friends.

Our second time staying with Sarah and Helen and we can not thank them enough. House is beautiful the location is amazing (my favourite place to visit in this UK) and Helen and Sarah are amazing too! So welcoming and cannot do enough you can really tell they love what they do! They make every visit very special. Lovely for us we can bring our dog and do the walks around the area. Can’t wait to go back! PS for whoever goes always have the full English you won’t be disappointed!

We had the most amazing stay at this lovely B&B. Helen and Sarah were so welcoming and gave us lots of information about the local area. The breakfast was the best we have had in a long time and the decor is beautiful. We had a wonderful evening meal at the Peacock and you can walk to Chatsworth (5k) from the B&B very easily. We hope to return in the future! Thank you!

We first stayed at this B and B 3yrs ago and this is our third visit to Fern Bank. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Helen and Sarah. There is always a warm welcome. The facilities are excellent and the breakfast is just superb from home made jams/marmalade’s to lovely warm bread! In these difficult times of COVID you can be rest assured that you will feel extremely safe here as they have sorted everything out so you will feel safe and enjoy the wonderful area. It’s so lovely to have wonderful hosts, a beautiful B and B and to have splendid places to visit. This is an ideal place to stay for walking, visiting Chatsworth, Bakewell and the surrounding area. We will be back! Thankyou

Stayed at Fern Bank which was amazing. Helen and Sarah made us so welcome. We were able to have breakfast in the garden as the weather was unusually warm. The breakfast was the best we have had in any b&b. The rooms were very comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful village location. Highly recommend a stay here.
