Visited on 17/10/16. We did question as to whether to we wanted to eat at The Fat Lamb as, on entry, thought we'd stepped back in time due to the décor. However we asked to view the menu and were impressed by it's variety. The food and service are excellent; a total contrast to the behind the times décor of...

I'll start with the positives about the Fat Lamb, which was the food. We ate here for dinner on both nights of our stay; and of course for breakfast too. All the meals were very well cooked and tasty too, with good quality ingredients; our only gripe about the meals was, we thought that the portion sizes rather small, considering...

Arrived on the Friday evening to a place that on first glances needed a renovation. Shown to our room up the dirty stairs carpet to find a room back in time decorated with decor from the 1980's. After unpacking we were then greeted with the nice sounds next door of a noisy tv and a dog yapping every time a...

Four of us had dinner at The Fat Lamb recently. All the food was very good. Lots of local produce prepared to a high standard. The slow cooked brisket was a particular hit. Really good cheese for desert. Well worth a visit.

Very welcoming & pleasant staff. Had one of the vegetarian options, baked sweet potato, and made a great choice. Well cooked & very tasty, especially the bean casserole that was served with it. It as also served with a small side salad. Will be visiting here when I'm next in the area.

Usually stop here when staying in the Dales and it never disappoints. The staff are friendly and very efficient and the food is excellent, especially the lamb. The Inn is also in the middle of some spectacular scenery. Looking forward to the next visit.

The Fat Lamb is an unpretentious, comfortable and welcoming country inn. As a wheelchair user I explained my particular needs at the time of booking, and found the facilities entirely satisfactory (which is not always the case when booking hotels). The room was comfortable and clean, the food was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location provided...

Interesting ancient roadside inn in a lonely stretch of countryside. Excellent service; good ambience; intelligent management; first class food quickly served on hot plates; and real ale at sensible prices. Well worth a visit.
