Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Gwen & John are just what I want in a Host, kind, helpful & provide an excellent home cooked breakfast. Rooms are comfortable & spacious & the ensuite in my room newly done. Beds very comfortable & as I was working all weekend, I really appreciated the privacy & quiet of my room all evening. Limerick has got very expensive for accommodation & this B&B provides really good value for money. I will be staying again & again!

We had two rooms for a four-night stay. Gwen and John were lovely and generous hosts, always there to help. The beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed yummy full Irish breakfast, fresh fruit, and good coffee. The location was ideal for us, would definitely stay again.

Everything you would want for an overnight stay —- clean, quiet, safe, friendly and a stupendous breakfast. The hosts were friendly and gave us so much helpful information. Very close to King John's Castle.

I was in this very nice b&b for a night to attend a course over the weekend. The experience has been very pleasant thanks to John and Gwen that do everything to make you feel at home! The room was very nice and clean; fantastic en-suite.
7 minutes to the University Campus.

I will definitely come back again!

This will be short review as everything has already been said by other reviewers. Suffice to say that if you stay here, you will be VERY happy campers!
I've just returned home after staying with Gwen and John for the last two weeks while attending a course in UL. I had a single room at the back which was absolutely lovely, it was quiet, looked out onto the garden and had one of the comfiest beds I've slept in for a long time! The bathroom was a nice size and contrary to what one of the other reviewers reported, the water pressure was excellent.
Breakfast was outstanding, and in fact (and I'm not making this up) I actually had to forego lunch for the entire two week period I was there because I was still full from breakfast when lunchtime came around (and I'm not one to usually miss a meal)!!!
Finally everyone has already mentioned how accommodating and helpful Gwen is, and I can only echo their sentiments - from helpful tips about Limerick to printing out my boarding cards from the internet - nothing was too much trouble.
A great experience all in all.

If you want to feel like you’re at home, stay here! Gwen and John are awesome (can’t forget Oscar), they are so welcoming and engaging, you can sit and chat with them for hours. The rooms are spacious and spotless. Breakfast was made to order. We totally felt at home here. Thank you for the hospitality.

we spent some days in Castle Moor and we had a great time. The bedrooms are big, well fornitured, tidy and very very clean. The breakfasts are simply fantastic and the owners lovely. The mascotte is a little white dog named Oscar. Aboslutely recommended

On the outskirts of Limerick city with easy access to Castletroy, Annacotty and the city centre. We had a very comfortable double ensuite room which was spotless. Gwen and John made us feel so very welcome, even inviting our son (who lives nearby) and girlfriend to join us for breakfast. The breakfast itself was healthy, fresh and delicious. We both remarked that it was the only place we can remember where so much fresh fruit was served in abundance. Thanks for giving us so much attention and we will stay again when we next visit Limerick!

We spent 3 nights in this B&B and I don´t think I can even say how wonderful it was! Gwen and John are amazing people, who made us feel very welcome. Thanks to them, the place felt like home :) Our room was gorgeous, as well as breakfasts made by Gwen. When one of our trips didn´t take place, John even took us on an interesting trip instead, so we would not be sad and Gwen fought for us quite hard when she called the company who was blame for that non happening trip. Anyway, I want to just thank them both for making our stay this great and I hope it was not our last time there. If you go to Limerick and look for some place to stay, Castle Moor is the best accomodation you can get! :)

"The front rooms are not that private, with large windows and no net curtains, so you have to close the drape curtains for your privacy, even in the daylight if you are shy."
