Gerson knows the jungle inside and out. My two friends and I have never been to the jungle. Experiencing fishing and catching piranhas, finding snakes, tarantulas, monkeys jumping in our boat, to deep jungle trekking, learning about plants, animals, and the eatables in the jungle was just fascinating! We visited a small family, got some really cool handcrafted animals (I bought a handmade tiger and parrot made out of straw that were painted). And they had a sloth. Very basic accommodation and food, but absolutely worth the trip. One I will always remember and tell everyone and my kids. Most memorable in my life.
Had a trip with Gerson Pizango and it was wonderful. Sow a great nature. Service better than we are expected from this trip. Gerson did more than he can do. ))) . The local village shows how you can be happy without technology.
I did not know the jungle, I am from Arequipa peru, I was curious to see the animals and plants, when I took the gerson tour, it was spectacular, magnificent, I recommend it to you, very kind, very good person, has a huge heart, his family and friends very friendly, we could see different animals, monkeys, toads, alligators, lazy bear, quite an adventure we even heard the roar of an otorongo, the incredible lodge you disconnect from the world, you listen to nature at night, gerson teaches you the customs of his tribe and also fishing, the most important thing that a foundation has that collaborates with those who need it most is the best guide in the world.
I’ve been on many tours and this is easily the best one of all my life. The lodge is located in an absolutely beautiful place. The guide is incredible and his family is so kind and helpful. I felt at home very quickly. If you want to see the Amazon, go to this lodge, you will not be disappointed.
I went to visit the Amazon rainforest many years ago with a friend, and we linked up with Gerson before leaving our home country. We linked up with him in Iquitos, and he showed us to our hotel, before we embarked the next day upon a most extraordinary and unforgettable journey. We chose Gerson because he was a local guide, and in using his services, we'd be helping out local people, villages and families, rather than big-business tourist companies based out of Lima or elsewhere. But we also found him to be a genuine person, fun to be around, and full of great facts. The jungle was unforgettable. I saw butterflies bigger than soccer balls and snakes (from afar) that could kill me with one bite. We went for night canoe rides and day and nighttime explorations, if we weren't trying to swat away mosquitoes as we enjoyed our "jungle spaghetti" (you end up getting used to the mosquitoes and they bother you less, I found...). Iquitos was a fun town, and we enjoyed our stay there, too. But if you want to see the Amazon rainforest first hand with the help of a good-spirited, genuine, and highly skilled guide in a safe and up-and-coming region, Gerson is your man.…
