this is an overdue review, my husband and I spent our honeymoon in Iquitos, and even though we weren't able to stay in the lodge (other plans were arranged on this opportunity) we did get to do a one day tour and it was SPECTACULAR! from the amazing culture experience to the outstanding VIP treatment from this team! Christian was my main contact and made sure everything was perfection from beginning to end! This is a trust-worthy company that are motivated to bring you the safest and most out-of-this-world experience! We can't wait to go back and this time do the full 5d/4n tour! Thank you Amazon Eco Tours & Lodge!!! ¡Gracias Amazon Eco Tours & Lodge!…
I arrived to Iquitos with my mom, sis and my aunt. It was my aunt first time in Iquitos. We met with Christian our tour agent. He was really friendly and knowledgeable. We did the one day tour inside the jungle. We started by going to the market and then hopped on the boat that took us through the amazon river. It was a great experience looking how the rivers change. We stopped to look at animals in a rescue center. It was a great experience to learn about the conservation and how animal trafficking is affecting mostly of the amazons fauna. Then we went to meet the Yurinaguas indigenous tribe and they showed us some of their practices and folklore. Pretty immersive experiences. After that we went to a lodge in the middle of the jungle where we had lunch. The tour guide told us that in that side of the river because the water is calmer there are pirañas. We saw a lot of different birds and some little titi monkeys. After that we went to pink dolphin watching. Around sunset they go to a specific location on the river to feed. It is an awesome experience to watch such a unique dolphin. And then we went to the beach side and swam in the river. Finally went back to the boat and go cruising the Amazon river while watching the sunset set on the beautiful jungle. The tour guide was pretty knowledgeable of anything. He would talk about all types of plants, trees, fruits, animals and how the culture of the indigenous tribes are still thriving to survive. Overall these tour is more than a tour is an opening eye experience and fulfilling to be in one side of the Amazon jungle. I would definitely recommend these tours. …
Me and my girlfriend went for the 5d/4n option to really dig in the atmosphere of the Rainforest and enjoy one night of camping in the jungle. The tours were well organised but sometimes too short. Our guide Yajr was great and we had a marvelous time together. When booking the tour we stated that we are looking for an adventurous trip but ended up in a group with less like-minded people for the first two and a half days. Therefore some activities like the first night walk and jungle walk were cut short or less enjoyable. Afterwards we had the guide to ourselves and all the excursion were to our satisfaction! The lodge was very clean, with all things necessary. I really like that it was only equipped with the basic necesseties and not more. The food was fine but there was not much variation in choice from day to day. All in all it was a great and unique experience and we will take some marvelous memories back home. …
I have nothing but nice things to say about this lodge and tour! Me and my husband visited the lodge for 3 days and the experience was beyond amazing. I got to touch anacondas, play with monkeys, hold a sloth that I fell in love with and wanted to bring him home with me lol. Me and my husband went fishing and caught piranhas for the 1st time and ate them, we didn’t know you could eat piranhas and they tasted amazing. We got to meet the Tribu Yaguas who gave the amazon its name. The whole experience was beyond our expectations. Me and my husband are travelers and we have visited many places around the world and this perhaps was the most amazing adventure we’ve ever been on.
