We had a great stay here, the lodges where nice and space and the food is great! On our day trips we saw so much wildlife including sloths, vipers & anacondas. Highly recommend staying here if you want to see the Amazons.
Love Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge. Have been there three times. The staff are awesome people. Rey, our guide is so knowledgeable. Julio, my first 'friend's in the jungle takes very good care of all the guests.
In Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge we stayed for a few days in the middle of February this year. I spent an incredible time there with my family. Our guide was REY(!!!) who showed us the amazing places forming the pure beauty of the Amazon. His patience (especially in relation to the frequency of my daughter's questions about birds) and incredible knowledge made our stay great adventure and made his person in our memory for a very long time. I would highly recommend.
Everyone at the lodge went out of their way to provide a great experience and I would highly recommend this place. Just make sure to read all the information and be prepared - this is an immersive Amazon experience, not a five-star resort. For example, there is electricity only a few hours a day, no phone signal, and no wifi. Be sure to heed the advice to wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants (add: long socks!), but you will still get bitten by mosquitoes - after all, this is the Amazon. Be sure to bring some aftercare (Benadryl, calamine lotion, etc) to minimize the itching. But the amazing experiences you will have are well worth it. I enjoyed the relief from being connected and loved our guide's enthusiasm for the jungle.
Lodge is really beautiful, and food was very good. The problem was that our guide was not great at all. He was making inappropriate jokes and reflexions to customers (adults jokes). He asked to drink the bottle of water of the customers on excursion. He was very slow, not funny and pretty boring ...
