middle of town, next to the sea , great walk along the beach, only 1 hr drive to Telegraph Cove (if u have a car, don't know how else to get there) - grizzly bear and whale watching tours - on a nice hwy with hardly any traffic, beats the price of a hotel in TC

I was in Port Hardy waiting for the ferry and was looking for lunch when I saw the North Coast Trail snack bar. Rob, the owner, introduced himself and appologised that food would not be available until the season was fully underway. He did however, stop what he was doing to make me a cup of coffee and we spent...

It seemed logical that since we were about to embark on the North Coast Trail we stay at the namesake hostel. Clean, affordable and conveniently located. A couple of restaurants in the immediate vicinity, a view of the bay and a convenience store 50 yards away. Beds were comfortable, linen provided as were towels and the showers were hot.

My friend and I stayed here for a week and loved the cleanliness and good location of this hostel. The owner was away, but left the place in the capable hands of Paul, who was able to provide everything we needed. Linens and towels were plentiful as was hot water and spotless kitchen facilities. There is a short walk to...

We only stayed in Port Hardy for one night before we took the ferry. We probably booked the cheapest double room in the hostel and we can't really complain as it was considerably cheap. The room was right off the living room/kitchen/dining area with basic equippment - a bed, a bed side table and a lamp. The kitchen is well...

A group of 8 of us stayed here for two nights before we left for the North Coast Trail. We were put in the Otter Suite and were pleasantly surprised by the quarters. Although there was a father with his two small children there when we arrived, they were friendly and didn't mind our boisterous nature. All the linens were...

I stayed here for 1 night either side of a diving adventure. I stayed in the Orca suites. The rooms I had were great for a short stay, the beds were comfortable and the bed linen clean and fresh. There were also plenty of towels. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment. Port Hardy is small so the location is...

I have not stayed in a Hostel for twenty years and as soon as I arrived I was taken back to my days in hostels when I travelled as a twenty year old. Ann and Rob bring that rare quality of shared community to every interaction with you. From the moment we booked we were sent an email encouraging us...
